Things to Do

There are two lovely coastal paths, leading from either end of Tobermory's harbour. One leads to a lighthouse, with views of the Ardnamurchan peninsula, and the other leads to Aros Park - a forestry development with an array of interconnecting footpaths, which lead around woodland tracks, a small lochan and some lovely waterfalls.

There is much to do in the village itself. A range of boutique shops line the harbour front, interspersed with cafes, restaurants, gift shops and guest houses. There is an arts centre, golf course, distillery, theatre and museum in Tobermory and the north of the island has some stunning scenery.

Calgary Beach can be reached in around 25 minutes (one of the best known beaches on the island) and the pretty village of Dervaig is 15 minutes away. There is a cheese farm with tearoom close by and Glengorm Castle with its coffee shop, marked footpaths and market garden to visit too (15 minutes in the car).
