Crosslake is situated in a small cul de sac in Tobermory. It enjoys a peaceful location and the harbourfront is a ten minute walk away (more than this on the return, as it is uphill on the way back, or you can hop in a taxi from the Main Street for just a few pounds). There are great walks to the lighthouse locally, starting from the Main Street and returning via the Golf Course for a more challenging circular loop, and some of the island's most popular pubs, cafes and boat trips all accessible on the harbour.

Things to Do
The house is in a great setting for families, as there is a great playpark just 100 metres from the door, and the house also has a lovely private garden too with outdoor seating. Tobermory has lots to offer for holiday makers during the main tourist season (April to October), so there is plenty for guests to do. There is a marine centre and distillery at one end of the harbour, where boat tours also set off for scenic cruises around Tobermory Bay, out to Staffa and the Treshnish Isles, and whale watching wildlife tours too each day.
The harbourfront in Tobermory is a vibrant Main Street, home to many cafes, pubs and seafood restaurants, as well as artisanal shops, locally made ice cream and the Mull Museum. There's plenty to do whatever the weather, all with a distinctly Hebridean flair.
The arts centre at An Tobar is also within walking distance of Crosslake, which has regular exhibitions, music events and a great cafe too, with the Mull Theatre being on the outskirts of town. For those who want to explore further afield on foot, there are some nice walks heading out from the harbour, one of which leads from the harbourfront to the lovely Rubha nan Gall lighthouse, to the north of the town, and another scenic path which hugs the coast and leads to Aros Park, where trails around the lochan and waterfalls beckon for yet more exploration.
Further afield, there is a fantastic beach at Calgary which is less than thirty minutes away by car and beautiful scenic areas like Loch na Keal can be reached in a similar time too. Celebrated as a National Scenic Area, Loch na Keal is a wildlife haven with Ben More, the island's only munro, towering above its southern shore. Wildlife tours depart locally from Tobermory to give keen visitors the best chances of spotting Mull's amazing creatures, from white-tailed sea eagles to hen harriers, otters to fallow deer.
