Things to Do

There is much to do in Tobermory itself and there are numerous additional attractions within easy reach. The arts centre, museum, distillery, golf course and theatre are all in Tobermory, but a twenty minute drive will give you access to some beautiful beaches, such as Calgary Bay, near the village of Dervaig.

There are also some lovely coastal walks at Aros Park, on the outskirts of the village, and at Glengorm castle with its tearoom and gallery (ten minute drive). One of the island's largest freshwater lochs, Loch Frisa, is also just a short drive away, where there are good opportunities for birdwatching, in particular for those keen to seek out the white tailed eagles the island is well known for.

There are some excellent boat trips available too. Whale watching trips, wildlife cruises and a crossing to the Ardnamurchan peninsula are all available down at the harbour. You will not be short of things to do!
