Things to Do
The Ross of Mull peninsula is well known for its fantastic opportunities for seeing wildlife; excellent beaches; rugged coastline and easy access to the isles of Staffa and Iona. There is plenty to do in area if you like putting on a pair of walking boots and exploring some of Scotland's most beautiful coastline. There are numerous white sandy bays that are tucked away and can often be enjoyed to yourself. Take some time to comb the beaches for treasures, or just sit down with a pair of binoculars and wait for passing marine life.
The main attraction here is the scenery, but you can also visit Ardalanish's mill shop for handmade products made from the wool produced here; the Ross of Mull Historical Centre (Bunessan); The Columba Centre (Fionnphort) to enjoy and buy local artwork and various croft shops and eateries. The Creel Seafood bar at Fionnphort is great for lunches and Ninth Wave restaurant is a fantastic option for dinner. In the village, enjoy the welcoming atmosphere of the Bunessan Inn for lunch or dinner, only a short walk from the Fisherman's Loft.
Don't forget to take a wildlife tour (on land or sea); make a day trip to Iona to visit with world famous Abbey, take in the craft shops and have a spot of lunch; or head out on a long day walk to Carsaig Arches to take in some of the incredible scenery on the south coast.
