Great cottage in a lovely location. Well equipped and comfortable - we had a lovely stay!

Mull is a stunning place and Willowbank was a perfect place to stay for us. Everything was catered for, fantastic layout. We fell in love with the island and the cottage.

We have recently returned home after spending a brilliant week at Willowbank. Having had several very enjoyable holidays in the highlands and islands we were extremely impressed by the accommodation at Willowbank.
It is a lovely cottage, with excellent facilities and in a beautiful location, with numerous places to visit, walks and boat trips just a short drive away.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, as did our collie dog, and we will definitely be booking a return visit for next year!

We have been coming to Mull for many years as part of an established fishing group. We booked this as a second property as we had more people attending this year. A fantastic cottage with great facilities and location.

What a lovely cottage to arrive to, with welcome local jam and biscuits to enjoy from the owners.
We had a great week exploring the quiet and stunning Ross of Mull and Iona and we looked forward to coming back to homely Willowbank, lighting the woodburner and cooking dinner in the well stocked kitchen. In short the cottage is clean, comfortable with everything you need. Our dog was safe in the enclosed private garden (lovely views). We enjoyed feeding and watching the many birds in the back garden, the cottage provided seed! Bunessan shop and Inn was 5 min by car. Highly recommend Willowbank

A lovely home, very quiet and chilled. Easy access to Fionnphort and Bunessan. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and spacious lounge.

Very well equipped and beautifully presented. A very comfortable stay.

The Cottage is as described by all the lovely comments in previous reviews…. With the north of the Island being jam packed with tourists because of the half term break it was absolute bliss to stay at Willowbank and virtually see no one whilst out exploring the coastline of East and West Mull …..We have been coming to Mull for 14 years and the wildlife experience we had was the best yet !

Very comfortable accommodation. Very clean.
Had wall to wall sunshine albeit a cool wind. Thoroughly enjoyed Mull and will be back.

Lovely cottage with stunning views. Wildlife all around, especially red deer and bird life (skylarks, curlews and cuckoos and many many others heard/seen every day). Cottage extremely clean and fully equipped - great kitchen with everything needed. Boot room at the entrance was very useful with a messy dog. Sitting in the front garden was still very private and watching the views and wildlife was amazing. Beds very comfy, showers excellent, living room large and bright with great log burner. Can't fault the place and I've stayed in about 12 different holiday cottages on Mull.

This is the second time we have stayed at Willowbank. It is a very comfortable house in a beautiful location. We would certainly like to return here for future holidays.

I can't recommend this cottage enough! We've just had a wonderful Christmas stay which was made all the more special by the Christmas tree with lights and welcome package of goodies that awaited our arrival. It's such a clean practical house with spectacular views and in a good location on a quiet road but close enough to Bunessan for supplies and to some incredible beaches, even in the wind and the rain. The house caters brilliantly for kids and dogs and was spotlessly clean, with every kitchen utensil and gadget you'd need. We'll definitely be returning!

Fantastic cottage , incredibly well equipped and extremely dog friendly.

Excellent property in a great location for exploring the Roll Of Mull side of the island.
By Chris and Diana stayed in October 2023
Great cottage with wonderful views. Very comfortable, excellently equipped and for two couples allowed plenty of space. Local walks were ideal for our rescue Labrador Prue and it provided an ideal base to explore the area. Only two minor criticisms which are; Full size bath sheets would be welcomed as would locks on the bedroom doors. Other than that a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

Great house with lovely large open plan downstairs space, well equipped, very useful utility/hall space, and amazing views. Perfect location for immersing ourselves in the Ross of Mull and Iona.
By The Woodcock Family stayed in July 2023
This was our second visit to the cottage and it did not disappoint. Well appointed and scrupulously clean. Excellent house for entertaining and lovely sheltered garden which gets the sun all day. Near by Bunessan Inn a real bonus. Already booked for next year.

Really enjoyed our stay at Willowbank. It is a very comfortable and well equipped cottage, and especially liked being able to wake up in bed and see the sky directly above (through the velux window!). Lots of lovely beaches to explore in this part of Mull, and places to eat. So handy for visiting Iona too, which we loved.
By Craigie family stayed in July 2023
We loved Willowbank and so did our dogs. Comfortable and very well equipped with lots of storage. A lot of thought has gone into this cottage. Lovely peaceful area with beautiful beaches, easy access to Iona and wildlife galore. We valued the bird seed provided which attracted lots of birds with adults feeding their young on the patio. A number of good eating places nearby. Mull never disappoints although it’s getting busier as more people find its charms.

Wonderful stay at Willowbank. An exceptional cottage, very comfortable and well equipped. Location great for local beaches and for walking. Our dog very happy there as well!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautifully clean, very comfortable and well-equipped cottage. Fantastic location with great views and easy access to so much in the south of the island. We had everything we needed, as did our dog, Charley.

We have stayed in several cottages on Mull and Willowbank is definitely one of the best ! Brilliantly equipped with some nice personal touches eg. iPad for music. The location is great and the cottage is very cosy with the log burner being an added bonus. The five of us and Lotus the cockapoo had a great week and even the weather was fairly kind. We'll be back !
By Claudia Yielder stayed in April 2023
An exceptionally well equipped cottage in a great location. We used it as a base to visit relatives in the Ross of Mull but also really enjoyed relaxing at the house and felt very much at home there. The ipad with its eclectic mix of music was a nice touch and much appreciated. Lynn and Adam, the owners, have gone above and beyond to ensure their guests stay is memorable and perfect.

Loved staying at Willowbank. Everything was perfect, from the well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, big fire and furnishings. Our dog lives the freedom of the enclosed garden and local beaches. Great house and location. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic cottage in a fantastic location. We spent Christmas week on Mull at the cottage. We walked on the beach Christmas morning with the family (4 adults) and our dog, who loved the log burner after the wintry walks. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you need to cook a Christmas dinner (we did take our own roasting tin). The heating was all preset and the cottage always felt lovely and warm. We saw deer out of the windows behind the cottage and the waterfalls of the Burg out of the front. Fabulous week away from the rat race.

This is our second stay at Willowbank and it certainly won't be the last. We were a group of 6 people but the cottage was more than spacious enough to accommodate us all. It is also well equipped and we enjoyed relaxing by the log burner at night. The surrounding area gave ius a big variety of walks and places to visit and we had an amazing week in the sun which was a real added bonus! Not only will we return to Willowbank but our friends would all like to as well. Big thanks to the owners for our wonderful holiday.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is very cosy and completely furnished. We appreciated it that two sleeping rooms and one bath room build its own unit. The cottage is perfectly located for trips to Iona and Staffa or the South of Mull. We found a lot of information in the cottsge about things to do in the region.

Well appointed cottage, stunning views, very helpful owners, great location to explore the Ross of Mull where we saw lots of wildlife. Convenient Spar shop just down the road. One thing to remember going at this time of year, is that much of the visitor geared places are closed and don't open until Easter or later. Great stay, will be back.

One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. Very well equipped with everything you need.
Lovely views from the cottage.weather was kind to us to say it was march.lots of wildlife to see not too far away.all in all a great week and good value for money.
By K Holland stayed in March 2022
This is the best house we've ever stayed in. The utility was invaluable having been on muddy, sandy walks with a dog. Only 15 mins to the ferry for Iona. Amazing views from the house too. We were very lucky with the weather considering it's November, but our trip to Staffa was cancelled. The upstairs floorboards are very creaky, but I learnt to tiptoe around so as not to disturb my family below. The bonus of the upstairs room is that you can star gaze whilst lying in bed.

Without doubt one of the most helpful cottage owners i have come across in all the years i have been visting the island. The cottage has absolutely every thing one would need for your stay, very clean and ultra comfortable, quality beds and furnishings through out,all in all faultless and we shall be returning as soon as possible.

Fantastic stay at Willowbank cottage, would definitely recommend.
Beautiful house, clean and comfortable with exceptional views.
The Ross of Mull was perfect, quiet and unspoilt. Swimming in the lovely bays around the Ross is a must. Easy to visit Staffa and Iona.

It is impossible to fault this thoughtfully designed and equipped house: it’s simply one of the best we’ve ever rented and in a superb location too. Brilliant.

Lovely spacious house with all you could possibly need including clear instructions for everything. Gorgeous views across the peninsula and a very noisy cuckoo! Comfortable, easy, lovely decor, can’t recommend it highly enough.

We had a lovely week at Willowbank which provided us with a warm, cosy and immaculately clean home from home during our wildlife photography workshop. The weather was typically a bit wet and wild at times but it was wonderful to have a comfortable nook with everything we could need to return to after our long days. Thank you all for all your efforts to make our break during this difficult time both safe and enjoyable.
By Jim and Caroline Biscoe stayed in November 2020
Immaculate cottage in a lovely setting. Very spacious and everything and everybody has been catered for (including the dog with their own hose and towels). Very relaxing, very private in a great location, only 20min stroll into Bunessan. Covid arrangements were very good and did nothing to detract from a fantastic week.
By Clare Hawkins stayed in October 2020
We loved this cottage! It is spacious, comfortable, well furnished and a great haven to come back to after a day out in the elements. A lot of thought has gone into what is provided for guests and we felt very much at home.
It is well situated with lots to do in the area. Full marks to the cleaner also as the cottage was spotlessly clean. We will be back for sure. ????

Well equipped home, delightful location. Loved exploring local beaches on Ross of Mull and Iona, no need to venture further afield. Highlights eating lovely seafood In Fionnphort while watching dolphins in the Sound of Iona. Negatives: as a group with grandparents & young children we found the room layout less than ideal as the children/parents had to take the 2 very much smaller rooms downstairs with grandparents in massive room upstairs. The floorboards upstairs are horrendously loud, so poor sleep each night, defo needs sorted. Oven also very poor, 1.5 hours to cook chips and sausage.

We would definitely highly recommend this holiday cottage. A perfect blend of cosy, rustic charm yet very comfortable, well-equiped and spacious. No shortage of things to do nearby if you enjoy walking and outdoor activities, there is a super little beach with great surf very nearby. Equally perfect if you just want to relax in front of the fire and enjoy the view! Not too far from the village, so you can enjoy a wee dram with your dinner in the Argyll Arms! We had an awesome week here with our children aged 8 and 14.

Really lovely property, good size and well equipped. Comfortable and cosy, amazing views from windows. Very clean. Easy access to Iona which was brilliant didn't get to Staffa this time need to come back earlier in the year to see the Puffins,
Would deffinately recommend this property, we will certainly return.

Fantastic property, good size and well equipped with imaginative additions, like the landing overlooking the main room, the conservatory to sit in when the midges are out and the picnic bench with a view and mobile phone signal. I could have sat out there all day for a lifetime, just watching the red deer stags and listening to the wind. Easy access to Iona, the Staffa boat and fabulous beaches south of Fionnphort. Loved it. Would book again without a second thought.

We had a wonderful holiday here, so relaxing. The cottage was perfect, so spacious and had everything we needed. The iPad full of music was an added bonus. The view from the cottage was beautiful and we loved how close we were to the Iona ferry and boat trips. We would highly recommend this cottage. The Isle of Mull was a wonderful family holiday.
By Jane stayed in July 2019
We were delighted with the property. It was extremely comfortable and cosy, and very well equipped. There was nothing that we lacked. The views from the property were outstanding and it was joy to see red deer practically every morning as we were having breakfast.
We were also very happy with the location giving easy access to the Ross of Mull with its beautiful beaches, a short drive to the ferry for Iona and trips to Staffa and the Treshnish Isles. We were fortunate to see sea and golden eagles as well as feral goats and fallow deer.
We would definitely wish to return to this property!

This was a lovely cottage with beautiful views across to the mountains & so quiet & peaceful. A perfect place to get away from the stresses of work for a week! Cottage was clean and very well equipped with everything we needed. Only downside was we didn't ever see the elusive otters!! We had lovely calm sunsets where we sat by the waters edge waiting for a couple of hours but they weren't to be seen!!
By Julie Noble stayed in May 2019
Lovely house in a beautiful location! The house is very well equipped there was nothing we needed that wasn't already thought of! Very clean and cosy property, the utility room was perfect for storing the walking things, the views from the master bedroom were stunning - lots of deer to watch! The open plan living space was perfect for our group as the children could play whilst we cooked etc. The gardens were lovely, nice to sit and have a drink whilst taking in the scenery.
We will most definitely be back again soon!

This is a great house in the most beautiful part of Mull. It’s comfortable, spacious and is really well equipped with a nice welcome bottle of wine. Lovely views onto the hills and if you’re lucky you’ll see deer in the fields opposite. Though it’s quite a remote area, having toured the whole island, we were glad we stayed here. It’s about an hour from Craignure and an hour and 20 from Tobermory. There are lots of beautiful beaches around the house and the ferry to lovely Iona is just 15 mins away. Internet reasonable and good enough to watch Netflix etc.

Beautiful, warm, comfortable property, equipped to the highest standards for all 6 (+baby) of us ranging in age from 86-1 year old! Utility room is a perfect 'dumping ground' for wet, muddy kit before entering the main house, which is superbly laid out and very spacious, including basic baby kit - high chair, stair gate etc etc. Lovely sheltered lean-to for windy but bright days, and enclosed garden- though it is wild so children need supervision! Great views to the cliffs, nearest child friendly beach approx 3 miles away. Useful corner shop/post office in Bunessan. A great week was had by all.
