Fantastic cottage! What views! What facilities! Loved it. The coal fire was amazing. Sadly, no wildlife (i.e, eagles, otters) were spotted from the cottage, nor from any local walks. A couple of soaked hares in the garden - that was it. Weather *truly* appalling all week - no let-up at all from rain & winds. Did manage to get to Traighe na Cille with its black sand beach (spotted male hen harrier on way back). There is also *no* light pollution at night, so the moon & stars were crystal clear. The cottage outside walls need re-painting - urgently. Would I stay again? Absolutely!

Super holiday home! Lovely comfy beds! Best view ever! Best weather ever! (A heatwave in September! We’ve been blessed). Super friendly people. Feel really refreshed and ready to face reality again…..well nearly, wish we had a few more days. Would highly recommend Tobermory, Isle of Iona, Calgary Bay and actually if you get the weather just sitting outside and watching the wildlife. Thank you Torr a Mhannich for a lovely family holiday.

Two weeks with Mull Cottages, one in the south & one in the north of the island. Both excellent, but Torr a Mhannich ticked all of our boxes. The house had a great location, very cosy ambiance & was well equipped. But what made it special was the abundance of wildlife in the Loch & the sky. Our highlight was watching frolicking Otters fishing for an hour on the rocks. Could not have asked for a better stay.

I booked a trip to Scotland from the US 6 weeks ago and really wanted to visit Mull. Every hotel I could find and every vacation home was booked except Torr a Mhannich happened to have this one week free for the whole summer. It was such luck to get such a beautiful and well cared for home. The view is stunning, my kids loved running around the yard, the kitchen is well equipped. We had the loveliest time. When we pulled up to the house my husband didn’t know where we were staying and simply said “wow, great find!”. We found the location very convenient too, quick drive to tobermory, beaches

Fabulous place, far above the quality of normal holiday homes as it's actually the home of one of Mull's most famous residents and is really a six star property. And a very friendly host. Slightly unfortunate that the heating failed when we arrived but I fixed it temporarily until the plumber could replace a valve. Also unfortunately no otters or eagles to be seen anywhere and Calmac went beyond their usual awful selves but that's Mull for you. Will definitely be back once Calmac have some new ferries.

A wonderful holiday home with everything you could possibly need, a very well equipped and perfectly laid out kitchen, comfortable beds, games and jigsaws, an amazing garden for our dog to explore and the most spectacular views over the loch. It was so peaceful and quiet we didn't really want to leave for our second week elsewhere! Sadly no otters for us but we did see golden and white tailed sea eagles. Would recommend a boat trip, we did Staffa/Fingal's Cave and Lunga to see the puffins.

This was our first experience of holidaying on Mull and we couldn’t have enjoyed it more. The cottage was an absolute delight to stay in and there was everything that we needed to have a perfect holiday. The cottage is very spacious and comfortable - if anything the beds were too comfortable! The view over the loch is stunning and we saw our first Golden Eagle when we awoke on our first morning. A family of Otters gave us fabulous displays on several days. Needless to say we have already booked again for 2023. The boat trip to Staffa and Lunga was also an incredible experience.

Our second visit to this fabulous property and it was just as good as the first. So much to see from the windows and good walks on your doorstep. We organized a tour with George Riddell of the Scottish Photography Centre 07958 718922 and had a terrific day. We love to cook and the well equipped kitchen is a delight. Wild venison and smoked fish from the Monday Producers Market in Tobermoray and the village shop has a great variety of stock. The Bellachroy is dog friendly and served draught beer. The one bit of equipment we didn't use was the tv!

Perfect in every way. Within 10 minutes of arriving we were watching a wild otter! Underfloor heating we had to turn off! Just google synonyms for cosy...
Beds were comfortable and we slept through D and E (alphabetised storms)
Mull has many memories for us - but we created more and will be back to do same all over again.
This cottage is in the ideal location in an ideal village on an ideal island. Idyllic.

Been coming to Mull for 10 years and this property is truly fantastic. Comfortable, spacious, cosy beds and what a location with unspoilt views over the Loch. Had a fishing osprey in front of the house within 20 mins of our arrival.
This was a transfer of dates due to COVID from last April and the wait was truly worth it

The house was great! It was immaculately clean and very well equipped with a super comfortable bed in the main bedroom. The location is fantastic...very peaceful and a great base for walks and getting around the island. The pub up the road was a bonus! The stunning view from the back of the house was just wonderful and we were lucky to see otters almost every date. A definite recommend.

Lovely holiday cottage in a fantastic setting.
The holiday cottage was bright, warm, and had everything you need. The views from all windows were amazing, saw Otters most days in the Loch. Will def visit again.
Just one note, the stairs are tiled so extra care is needed , particularly for children or those unstable on their feet.

Five adults stayed and we all agreed it was one of the best properties we'd had in Scotland. Couldn't fault it. Everything worked well and we had no problems. Heating system was very effective...turned it off a couple of nights!
Despite the patchy weather (it was February!), we loved the open views from the house, so good even if it was raining. Great location...handy for the village and friendly local pub.
Would certainly recommend this property and plan to return to Mull in the future.

Bedrooms are a great size. Kitchen is well equipped, and downstairs has underfloor heating! I would happily go back to this property again

An absolutely stunning property with stunning views by Loch Cuin. We saw otters from the house on the the Loch on two occasions and red deer on the hillsides opposite. Herons and various birdlife. We also saw when travelling on the Island red deer, numerous golden eagles, sea eagles and a variety of other bird life. Calgary beach is indeed the gem of the beaches with a lovely walk out to the headland. We were lucky to have good weather, blue skies and sunny most days 11-13o apart from rain from 3.00pm on one day. The Bellachroy pub in Dervaig served excellent meals, local shop friendly

The cottage had everything we needed and was was spotlessly clean on arrival. We had a fantastic two weeks exploring Mull and nearby islands. Wildlife was plentiful - otter, eagles, hen harrier, hedgehog, rabbits and red deer from the cottage and so much more as we explored the island. Amazing sunsets, a super village shop and friendly local pub. It was our home rather than a holiday let - we didn’t want to leave.

Mull is a stunning island with plenty to see and do. Great food at the Bellachroy hotel if you fancy eating out, get in line for the artisan bakery as well as their baked goods sell out fast.

This is an amazing property. The views from the large windows over the sea loch can keep you entertained all day - but it is also an excellent location for walking. We had some walks in the rain and some in the sun (plus a mixture). An excellent walk from the cottage to Quinish point with lots of seals (great for picnic) and an ice cream from the Shop/PO at Dervaig (which is well stocked). Very large telly in the cottage with excellent sound - if you can drag yourself away from the views. Very comfy and spacious place (there were 6 adults and 1 dog in our party).

Having stayed at numerous dog friendly cottages throughout the Highlands I can safely say this is the best we have been to. Everything you would expect in a holiday let (except perhaps a bbq). The garden is totally enclosed and safe. With the pub and shop within easy walking distance and no through road to the cottage this makes an ideal getaway place to enjoy your stay. We were lucky enough to get 7 days of blistering sunshine which made the whole stay even better. Very highly recommended.

Beautiful, well equipped house in a gorgeous location. You couldn't ask for better views from all the windows. Our son loved seeing the new born lambs at the end of the garden. Lots of bird watching; oyster catcher, curlew, heron as well as an eagle family and deer. Really good local shop in Dervaig, sadly we never made it to the artisan bakers.
The house was spotless upon arrival, plenty of room for all. Lots of books, games and DVDs but nothing for toddlers, but plenty of outdoor activities to keep him occupied. We loved Calgary beach, and the sculpture trail. Aros Park was great too. Lovely sunny visit to Iona on the last day rounded off the holiday nicely.

We had a most fantastic time in this house with our friends. The place was spotless and warm on our arrival, and the views were second to none! Waking up to see the Loch outside our bedroom window every morning was so lovely. We saw many different birds from the windows, with a fly by from a white tailed eagle. There’re are plenty of walks from the house without the need to use the car, but if you venture out, you will be spoilt for choice of places to go. The highlight of our week was our trip to Lunga to see the Puffins and Fingals cave.

Dervaig is a great base to see the island (this was our third visit). The village shop is really well stocked and the Artisan Bakery put inches on my waistline! Dervaig Artisan Bakery - find them on Facebook and you can find out when a bake is ready. Bird sightings were wonderful. Goldies, white tails, hen harrier and so many different ducks. Sadly no otters this time despite Torr a Mhannich having a resident family!

This is probably the best cottage we have stayed in having been to mull a few times.
Everything you need is here ,so well appointed through out.
The mattress in master bedroom is sublime.
The house is spotless on arrival, the house is roasty toasty on arrival.
The underfloor heating on ground floor does its job fantastically.
The wood burner is massive and pumps out plenty heat.
The showers are very powerful and plentiful hot water.
Full sky package on tv and very good wifi considering its remoteness.
While there from the window we saw otters, sea eagles and deer.
The house is 4 miles from Calgary beach which we visited daily to tire out the dogs, and only 8 miles from Tobermory.
There is an honesty egg box at bottom of drive £1:50 1/2 doz of probably the yellowist best free range eggs you will ever taste.
This is a cottage you will not e dissapointed in and will want to return to time and time again( try and book it you will be lucky to get a week in 2018)
