Struan is located in Tobermory, Mull’s main town with a view over the nearby properties to the front, and woodland to the rear. A small burn emerges from the woodland and flows alongside the cottage. There is ample parking for up to three cars. There are two other holiday cottages in close vicinity which can be booked in conjunction with Struan, which are Lileas and Cruachan.
Guest enter the cottage from the timber walkway that runs around two sides of the cottage. With its contemporary styling, the main open plan living, dining and kitchen area is a lovely bright space with plenty of room to relax in. There is comfortable seating for up to six guests and an electric stove is also provided to add a warm glow in the evenings.
Double glass doors bring lots of natural light to the dining and kitchen area, and the dining table is well positioned so that guests can make the most of the view. The sliding doors can be opened up so that guests can easily access the decking and use the picnic bench provided for meals, when the weather is clement.
The kitchen is well appointed with appliances and cooking equipment, and due to the open plan layout, the cook of the party can socialise while preparing an evening meal.
Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with adequate storage space; a bathroom with shower unit w.c. and basin and a separate utility room with washer dryer and extra storage space. A children’s play table is provided to keep little ones entertained.
Upstairs is a landing area which leads to the twin bedroom, again another well proportioned room. The second double bedroom is at the other end of the landing separated by the second bathroom with a shower, basin and w.c. Bed linen and towels are provided for guests.
Struan is ideal for guests seeking a comfortable and well appointed holiday cottage in which to base themselves. All the amenities of Tobermory can be easily accessed with the harbour being only a 10 minute walk away, where most of the shops and restaurants can be found.
Further afield you can enjoy exploring some of Mull’s stunning scenery and wildlife. Calgary beach is 35 minutes to the west. Setting off from the doorstep, Tobermory has some lovely coastal walks to both Aros park and the Lighthouse at Rubha nan Gall for holidaymakers to explore.
Boat trips depart from Tobermory harbour, sailing to explore Staffa and the Treshnish Isles, as well as dedicated whale watching trips. Tobermory also has an excellent golf course with stunning views over the sea and Calve island.

Bedrooms: There are two double bedrooms (standard sized double beds) and one twin bedroom in the house, all with memory foam mattresses.. One double on the ground floor and a twin and double on the first floor. Hair dryer provided.
Bathroom: There is a shower room on the ground floor with shower unit, basin and w.c. On the first floor there is an additional shower room with basin and w.c.
Garden: Fully enclosed patio decking area. Picnic bench and barbeque provided.
Heating: Electric panel storage heaters. Heated electric towel rail in the downstairs bathroom. Electric stove in the living area.
Bed Linen and Towels: Bed linen and towels are provided.
