Thank you for a wonderful week on Mull. The cottage was comfortable and very peaceful. We loved the quiet and the beautiful scenery and views from the cottage. We visited Staffa which was stunning! Worth the trip. Some good cafes: The Coffee Pot (Salen), Shed 8 (down the road from the cottage). We loved that we could stay in and make our own meals in the well appointed kitchen. Just a lovely week!

A wonderful place to stay. Excellent cottage in beautiful surroundings. I was accompanied by my daughter and twin grandchildren. We all had a wonderful time. The weather took a bit of getting used to and waterproof clothing came in very handy, but having the cozy fire made all the difference.
I especially liked the beautiful local prints that adorned the cottage. Would love to go again.

Kilninian Schoolhouse location was perfect for soaking in the peace and beauty of Mull. Isolated from any noise except the lowing of the coos or the greetings from meandering sheep, we were close enough to walk to the black sand beach, the lovely church and friendly monastics next door. Many sights and villages are a short, beautiful ride away: Tobomory, Dervaig, Calgary Bay, etc. Will return to visit Ulva next time. Close to a small, local coffee shop and restaurant but the facilities provided what we needed to make cozy meals at home. The garden, superb and the views, breathtaking.

As an elderly couple we truly appreciated the peace and the beauty all around us without needing to travel far afield. A highlight was the experience of crossing on the ferry to Ulva and the walking trails there. Heard a cuckoo! The upstairs open plan living space with views across the water was wonderful, especially when the sun was shining in. We were also treated to 3 amazing rainbows. Thank you.

We had a superb time in this beautiful cottage in great location. Very comfortable and the views from the upstairs living area were truly magnificent. It is so quiet and peaceful so it is really easy to relax and unwind. We found getting round Mull this location was convenient and the highlight of our trip was our visit to Staffa from Ulva Ferry.

What a wonderful place! Incredibly quiet, 10 minutes walk from a gorgeous beach and so much wildlife on your doorstep. A lovely living space upstairs and wonderful garden to enjoy too. Lovely walk (and cafe) on Ulva, a fab boat trip from Tobermory and we really enjoyed the Glass Barn cafe (near Tobermory) on a rainy day.Thankyou so much.

We loved our stay at the cottage. It was extremely comfortable and we especially loved how much light there was in the upstairs living area. Also, loved having a bathtub! The location was perfect for us, too. We can't wait to return, hopefully for a longer stay next time

A very cosy space, with lovely views and quick, easy access to a fine beach. Loved the open plan kitchen/living room upstairs. Definitely one if the most beautiful parts of a truly beautiful island. Enjoyed a wonderful cruise to Staffa with Turus Mara from nearby Ulva Ferry. A very cosy and relaxing place to stay for a family of four. Loved the pics on the walls of nearby attractions.

Very comfortable holidayhouse with a bautifull view towards Ulva. The owners were not present and we neither saw any neighbours, so it was nice and quiet. Also view on deer and highland cows. We loved the circular walk at Tresnish and the whale boat trip. At Tresnish we could charge our electric car. The best trip was the one from Ulva ferry to Staffa and Lunga. A must go! Good vegan food at Croft 3 nearby.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely house. It was a perfect base for us, the accommodation was comfortable and the garden was lovely. We put peanuts out and saw a good range of garden birds. It was interesting to see the little bit of history about the school. We highly recommend Kilninian Schoolhouse and would happily stay there again. Thank you.

Lovely cottage in a very beautiful location. Well equip for a week. We had plenty of hot water. The road from Ulva Ferry to the cottage is a challenge as lots of pot holes so be prepared. Would recommend the Sea Eagle trip, but book ahead as he gets booked very quickly. The island trip from Ulva is also a must. Beautiful island will definitely be back.

All in all we have enjoyed our stay here, the cottage is adequately served with what we needed, yes the bathroom is small but you are only in there for a short time, plenty of HOT water, fantastic quite garden a must is The Boat House on Ulva for food and a good walk around the island another must is the Boat trip to Staffa and Fingels cave fantastic trip there, do watch the road from Ulva yes it’s pot holed but the owners can not do anything about that
The owners were great quite and available if we needed anything so very approachable

A well equipped cottage in a stunning location. We had a lovely week - thank you.

Quiet setting. Good views, spoiled by dirty inside of windows. Bathroom compact. Hot water insufficient for 2 showers (&hair wash). Upstairs standards are disappointing. There’s a general feeling of tiredness and that “cast offs” have been used. Bathroom light switch difficult to turn on/off. Twin room light switch needs screwing firmly to wall. Dusty skirting & old cobwebs- full clean between lets? More concerning is owners’ response when told of the mouse & droppings, which appeared at the end of the week, didn’t suggest that there’d be a thorough clean/disinfection before next let.

Editor's Note: Thank you for your feedback. The owners have put new carpets, furniture, curtains etc. into the property in recent years, so we're sorry you felt it was tired. They also responded immediately when you informed them about a mouse at the end of your stay, and they do of course have the property fully serviced between guests. We will of course take on board your comments and make improvements where possible
A beautiful little property with a view . Overlooking Loch twath. The wildlife is amazing and the views around the island were breathtaking. Hopefully going back in 2024 . WOW

Beautiful cottage, in a peaceful location with views across to Ulva. Well equipped and very comfortable with windows overlooking the garden. Lots of small birds came to the feeder we put up, and the garden is also visited by rabbits. Some lovely walks nearby, but for eagle watching and sightseeing, you need to factor in quite a long drive in either direction (its jeep/land-rover country, so not the place to venture out in a nice new car). Best food is at the Ballachroy Hotel, and island sea tours go from the Ulva ferry port, nearby.

A lovely cottage, comfortable and well-equipped with everything needed for a week. Wonderful location although be prepared to drive on single track roads to get anywhere. Nice beach nearby.

A lovely cottage with a view of Loch Tulath over to Ulva, very comforable and peaceful, a pretty garden to sit in have a glass of wine in the evening and just taking in the views and silence! Upgrade of shower and I think it would make it perfect.

Very comfortable and functional cottage, liked the upside down design with living area upstairs. Convenient base for photographic trips albeit over an hour to Loch Spelve/Croggan. Excellent views across the Loch to Ulva and Gemotra. Very peaceful and remote. Lovely walk up into the hills behind the cottage. Downsides - very poor broadband if you need decent internet access and don't expect two hot baths in a row - you'll need to override the hot water and wait a while for a second person to bath. You can get two good hot showers from the tank.

A beautiful location with fantastic views over the water to Ulver and beyond. Very quiet and dark at night. Comfortable accommodation with wonderful bright upstairs living area. Lots of hot water and a good bath to ease tired limbs after walks and bike rides.

We had a truly wonderful and memorable holiday. Local businesses were hugely helpful in enabling us to visit their home area safely and respectfully. The cottage was perfect for our family of four, and having Tràigh na Cille beach a short walk away was the perfect quiet spot to retreat to when we didn't want to adventure too far. Such a beautiful place to visit and we very much look forward to coming again!

This cottage was cosy and comfortable if a little compact downstairs, we had a great holiday here but we think it would benefit from some repairs and replacements, mainly in the kitchen area and fix things that are broken, don't put a notice on to say you are sorry it is broken

Comfortable cottage with good outside space with fantastic views across to Ulva which is well worth a vist.
Due to the remote location a larger freezer space would benefit the stay.
Mobile signal not very strong unless you go outside.

This cottage is magical with such gorgeous views and a peaceful, untouched location. It's excellently equipped and comfortably furnished. We absolutely loved it and would stay again.

Lovely cottage and well equipped with fantastic views. The cottage was very comfortable with everything you need and within a short walk you end up in the most amazing bay that is usually quiet where you can chill out. We had a very relaxing holiday and a great sleep in a comfortable bed. My only slight feedback is that it would benefit from a proper freezer. The very small freezer in the fridge means a trip to Tobermoray every couple of days to get fresh supplies. But this is minor from a fantastic overall stay.
