Just returned after 3 weeks at this stunning property. Absolutely fantastic location with breathtaking views. It really is a magical place made better by the caretaker girls.
Mull is very special, so friendly and peaceful - a throwback to the 1950's, which isn't an insult.
Come to recharge the batteries - you won't regret it.
We will definitely return to Gorsten. It would be fabulous for Christmas or special occasion.

Such an amazing house. The views from the large windows are stunning whatever the weather. We saw eagles, stags, seals and otters. The sauna was a bonus and the bath with a view felt really special. The house was very clean and well equipped for a family including a baby and dog. We would love to return

We had thee most amazing stay at this beautiful house and are completely smitten. We knew it was going to be lovely, but it exceeded all of our expectations. So comfortable and well equipped. The views are incredible, beyond anything I can describe. Charlotte and Danielle were just lovely and made us feel so welcome. The flowers, eggs and Prosecco were such a lovely touch. We all just fell in love with it and will definitely return, and soon, I hope.

A wonderful spacious house with comfortable bedrooms and spectacular views from the very large windows. We were blessed with brilliant weather and made the most of the outdoor space around the house including walks, lots of wildlife and on the advice of the housekeepers, even an outdoor swim in the pool.

This was our second family holiday in this lovely house. Perfect for 8 people - very well equipped kitchen with comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. The standard of cleanliness was high throughout. The views are incredible, with great walks from the front door and an abundance of wildlife. Highly recommend a stay here. Easy to book and very helpful caretakers.

Incredible stay. We knew it would be an amazing house but it exceeded expectations with beautiful attention to detail, fantastic setting and managed by the wonderful Anina & Liz who elevated our stay even further. The kitchen garden was fairytale like! We will definitely be back.

The house lived up to all our hopes and expectations. Exceptional views, very well equipped and wonderfully looked after by Anina and Liz.

Beautiful house with beautiful views. Very well appointed accommodation. We did not miss the fact that there was no TV reception. It was nice to get away from it for a week. Caretakers, Anina and Liz were lovely. One downside was that there were not enough showers. It would have been especially more convenient to have a shower in the bathroom with the sauna in. Also, no mirrors in the bedrooms for use when drying hair and getting ready to go out- a definite oversight.

Gorsten House is a very special place. It's a wonderful environment to spend time in, like living in a work of art. The views and surroundings are amazing. And after years of visiting Scotland and never seeing an eagle we saw them every day from the house. Other wildlife spots around the house were seals, red deer and hares. Thanks to Anina and Liz for the wonderful produce from the beautiful and impeccably neat kitchen garden. Great base to return to after exploring Mull and v comfortable. Would love to return.

Had a lovely weeks stay at this out of the ordinary holiday accommodation.
Surrounding area stunning and great to explore.
Down side was no TV reception, maybe a satellite dish is the route to go down?
Anina and Liz very helpful and informative.

First in 2019 and now again we stayed with friends in this beautiful house, we love the Isle of Mull and the spectacular place with the views from the window. From Dresden it's not the shortest way to reach Gorsten House, but in three years we hope to come back. Hopefully with the warm welcome from Jamie and Charlotte again.

Booked for my 60th just the 2 of us and small dog
Fantastic house and location. Not sufficient superlatives to really do the property or location justice. Magical

Amazing property for our family holiday - really well equipped for cooking for 8 and plenty room for everyone. The view is spectacular - could have sat at the window for the whole week watching the wildlife and sea view - sea eagles and minke whales included! Loved the unique feel of the house with all the interesting artwork and design features. The property managers and the owner were very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend a holiday here.

A simply superb property There was just the 2 of us who stayed for a week but it is a large and beautiful house . Views and tranquility are exceptional . A fabulous kitchen and dining area . Lounge and wood burning stove an evening delight ( once hubby had mastered firing it up !! ) The art work around the house and very special decoration made it a total delight . A so much appreciated holiday .

We had a great time at Gorsten House during our stay in October. Great house with magnificent views and a unique vibe! We loved the artwork at the property and the eco-focussed communal products supplied!

Gorsten House is such a great holiday home! We stayed as a group of 8 adults and had the best time! The views from the panoramic window are unrivalled as well as from the bathtubs. It’s a great base to explore the island from and would certainly return!

Our family had a wonderful stay in Gorsten House. So much space for the children, the views are stunning, and wildlife everywhere - from the living room window we saw sea eagles, cuckoos, seals, porpoises, dolphins and whales. Lots of easy walks down to the beach. The house is lovely and very comfortable, and our hosts were extremely helpful and hospitable. We have travelled and stayed in some beautiful places around Europe and beyond, but Gorsten House just about tops the lot - a very special place. We very much hope to return soon

Unique, special place to stay enjoyed by our family group celebrating a 70th birthday. Views from lounge and bedrooms gave sightings of minke whale, white tailed eagles, hen harriers, skylarks and views across the Sound of Mull.
The children loved the house as much as the adults and all enjoyed local walks, table tennis and peace and tranquility.
Need to return to see the elusive otters!

Lovely situation with great views. Sadly not quite as luxury as the photos showed with lots of building rubble and detritus at the front and slightly below par beds (mattress quality in two rooms and double rather than king size). Felt a bit tired and unloved. Hopefully as the season progresses they will address these issues as it could be great.

Fascinating and unique place to stay. Multi generational family group staying. Master bedroom and larger bedroom downstairs with wood burning stove excellent as is the main living area. Fabulous views from huge picture windows including from the bath in the main bedroom. Wild and rugged environment. House fits in perfectly. Enjoyed feeding the chickens and watching the farmers withe the sheep. Excellent place for viewing wildlife and lots of walks on doorstep. Thanks

We had a wonderful stay at Gorsten, celebrating my husbands 60th. It definitely is a home from home, very comfortable with plenty of space. The bathrooms were lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed the view from the roll top bath in the master bedroom. We were not lucky enough to see eagles on this visit, but hope to on our future visits.

It’s an amazing house in a perfect location, well stocked with everything you could need, a real home from home and we will be back. Otters and white tailed eagle in the garden and harriers from the lounge window, it’s the best we’ve found on Mull yet after 20 plus visits

This unique house is a heavenly getaway. It combines luxury and wildness in a really special way.
For sea-swimming, wildlife-watching, cloud-spotting and generally getting back to earth, Gorsten is highly recommended.

You miss a place when you leave it and think of it afterwards..... What a relaxing and peaceful property. Watching the elegant rare eagles in their element, and plethora of wildlife that we observed from the property, the telescope had us engaged for hours.
The sauna and steam room were the icing on the cake, towards the end of each day it would be the sauna and steam room, oh my, you could then just leave to your rooms and fall asleep instantly.
As the property is remote, 4g signal can be picked up outside the rear of the house and to my surprise, the kids room up the wooden steps by the kitchen, excellent 4g signal.
The property has an enormous wealth of books to read around art, and i spent quite some time reading 'how are you feeling' by David Shrigley and 'The art of looking sideways' by Alan Fletcher.......

This house is a special place to spend time. The view from the house to the sea is magnificent and the huge picture windows let you enjoy it from most places inside, even the shower. While exploring the coastline in front of the house we saw an otter on two different days even though our dog was swimming in the sea. The owners have put a lot of thought into the house and it wouldn't be out of place on an episode of Grand Designs. We are lucky they are happy to share it.

Perfect holiday house, both in terms of house, and location with views. Just what we needed. It was perfect for a family holiday lots of kids.
We needed to make some adjustments for toddlers as there are spiral stairs etc. but the older kids and adults really suited it well.

Stunning property in every way; the decor and fittings are fantastic and only really upstaged by the views across the bay to the lighthouse. Charles and Dorothea the owners are exceptionally helpful for the one issue we had. We were there as a group of adults for a Hogmanay break, but it would also work really well as a family holiday.
