Second stay at Camus and it was as perfect as we remembered. We had a wonderful week relaxing, which is very easy to do at Camus. This place has everything you could want, excellent location, shop and pub in easy walking distance and the view is spectacular. We didn’t want to leave and looking forward to going back next year! Extra thanks to Iain and Michelle for letting us in early due to our ferry being changed, was very much appreciated.

Camus Cuin is very special. The house has everything that one could need in terms of kitchen equipment and facilities. Wonderful location. Over the years we have regularly seen otters, white tailed eagles, golden eagles and a huge variety of other birds, plus a lone deer occasionally, looking at us over the fence, all from the cottage. Once I saw an Osprey catching a fish on the Loch. Great central heating, brilliant woodburner. Pub and good shop a short walk away. What more could you want on Mull? Our 6th visit to Camus Cuin. Won't be our last!

Our first visit to Mull and Camus Cuin was the perfect base from which to explore. Amazing views out over the Loch, great place to spot otters, sea eagles and much more. The property was well equipped and had everything we needed. The local PO had a good variety of produce. We had a fantastic time.

An absolutely fabulous location and great view. Camus Cuin exceeded our expectations, with everything one could possibly need, and the most well-appointed kitchen I've ever seen! Spacious, airy and cozy at the same time. We'll be back!

Our 5th visit. Our home from home. Superb house, with everything you could possibly need. Wonderful location. If you spend enough time at the house (difficult to do when Mull has so much to offer) there's every chance of seeing White tails and otters as well has a wide variety of bird species. Ian and Michelle the owners are great. You won't see them unless you need them. Read earlier reviews for more info..no point me repeating it. I've lost count of how many cottages we've rented on Mull. Camus Cuin ranks amongst the very best.

This is the most beautiful, spacious and comfortable cottage we have ever rented. Position outstanding with wildlife outside the windows. White tailed eagles seen from the house on two occasions along with multiple sitings of divers and mergansers. The bird feeders and rabbits were also a constant source of interest. Beautiful walks from the house and pub and restaurant and easy walk. The village shop was also an amazing alladins cave don't bother shopping before you arrive! A perfect spot don't change it we want to return!

Agree with all the other comments. A super, warm and spacious property in a stunning location. Very quiet and private, but only a 10 minute walk to the village shop which is very well stocked.
The walk from the door to Quinish Headland will reward you with fabulous views over towards the Isle of Skye. We were very lucky with the weather, wall to wall sunshine all week and flat calm on the loch. Lots of wildlife, including the local white tailed eagles which nest just across on the other side. Plus a otter with her cub catching crabs right in front of the lounge window.
    Wonderful week.

House was amazing and really well equiped, can't fault anything at all! Spotlessly clean, comfy beds, great shower pressure, the views! Perfect base for exploring North and Central Mull. Walkable to very well stocked local shop and short drive to Tobermory, some very Beautiful beaches and lovely restaurant. We all loved our week here and will be back. Our 5 year old daughter especially loved the garden and watching all the bunnies and birds. Loved having the scope as well, spotted curlews, different types of guess and ducks and Jupitor one clear evening, otters and eagles hiding due to weather.

Camus Cuin is the most perfect cottage! We have stayed in many Isle of Mull cottages and this totally exceeded our expectations. Camus itself was spotless, had everything we needed and provided a warm, cosy winter stay. The wildlife we saw from the cottage just can’t be beaten, daily otters, seals, and the best sighting we have had of a White Tailed Eagle, no need for binoculars as it literally outside the window! We didn’t want to leave this wonderful place and can’t wait to come back soon!

We have been holidaying on Mull for the last 30 years but this is the first time we have stayed in the Dervaig area. The bungalow is very comfortable, clean and in a wonderful location. It’s an ideal place to stay if you have a dog as there are many paths to walk. We would have definitely returned but with the no dogs policy we won’t be able to.

The house was even more than we had hoped for. So well maintained, comfortable and spacious. We loved sitting looking at the view and the stars at night….wow! While out and about on the island walking and wild life spotting we had very close encounters with white tailed and golden eagle, hen harrier, otter and a bottle nosed whale. We swam in the sea at Calgary Bay too! The shop at Dervaig is great and also used the coop at Tobermoray. Recommend the walk from the house to Quinnish point.

Our second visit here, this is a breathtaking cottage, the views over the loch, watching the otters, an osprey, and white tailed eagles, cannot be beaten. The cottage itself is comfortable, spacious, clean, and welcoming. The kitchen has everything you need, the garden is secure and well maintained. The location is wonderful for visiting the island, Dervaig has a great shop and pub, not too far from the Cheese factory for a great meal. I would highly recommend this cottage.

Really nicely appointed cottage with a great attention to detail for comfort. Modern decor, furnishes etc give a huge boost to the sense of calm and space. Well positioned on the edge of Dervaig away from the main hustle and bustle, but close enough for convenience. A great size for a family or a couple alike. Well positioned for all that Mull has to offer, or for just switching off.

Beautiful spacious house with an enclosed garden (full of rabbits!) and fantastic views over the loch. We could have spent the whole week just looking out of the window. The weather wasn't great but that didn't matter. The village shop is a gem, the Piece Box and Balachroy great, and walks near and far. Calgary is always beautiful and Tobermory always fun. The only disappointment - no otter despite hours of watching!

We’ve just got back to home, after staying in this fantastic cottage. It was of the highest standard and can not fault it. We have already tried to book for next year but unfortunately the week we wanted was already booked! The walk on the doorstep was a joy to do everyday with our cocker spaniel. We saw an otter on the shore at the bottom of the garden and this was one of the many highlights of our trip as well as the fantastic weather.

We had a wonderful stay with other family members joining us for part of the week . The house was spotlessly clean bright and modern with amazing views over the Loch . We saw white tailed eagles every day from the house . The location was perfect for us with walks through the Quinish estate next to the house and the brilliant local pub a short walk away . The house had everything we could have wanted even a welcome gift on arrival . The highlight was an otter fishing in front of the house while the whole family watched , magical . We could not have wished for a better property to stop in for our holiday. The location was perfect and the weather was kind to us.
The wildlife was amazing from the window overlooking the loch, we watched ospreys catching fish and two young sea eagles regularly sat in the trees surrounding the cottage, otters were also spotted at the end of the loch.

My family and I had an amazing holiday here. Camus Cuin has everything you need, is beautifully furnished and the location cannot be beaten. We spent many hours just looking out of the window at the wildlife. Our puppy had a wonderful time in the garden, the shore and the open plan house. She had a bit of a shock one morning when I let her out to be greeted by a red deer in the garden which promptly jumped over the fence. I would like to thank Michelle who came round to give us extra towels as I had incorrectly booked for two people not four! I cannot recommend this property enough.

We had a fantastic week. The view out of the living room is to die for, on our first day we found it difficult to leave. We saw otters feeding in the loch, so much wildlife - seal, herons, oystercatchers, deer, osprey, and the comical flotillas of goosanders. The last evening, we were mesmerised by a pair of white tailed sea eagles in the trees opposite. The property has everything you need and the bottle of wine and biscuits were much appreciated. We’ve never stayed in a better, more comfortable property with such fantastic wildlife visible from the living room. We want to visit again ASAP!

Fabulous house, wonderful location. Wish we had discovered Camus Cuin earlier. The loch in front of the house is a wildlife hotspot! White Tail heading south ( a pair nest on the Quinish estate not far away), being mobbed by gulls. 30 mins later a Golden Eagle heading north, being mobbed. Buzzards, Grebes and more. The star is the otters. Pass by every day. I had a magical 25 mins with one at close quarters from a natural "hide" by the water to the left of the blue dinghy. Hunted, came out of the water to eat and walked around, within 50 ft of me. Never knew I was there. Need to be back asap.

As keen birdwatchers, this is our 4th stay with Isle of Mull Cottages. All properties have been fantastic, but we all agree that Camus Cuin is the best so far. We are suckers for a house with a view and this view is exceptional. House is immaculate, spacious and private, but close to the shop/pub in Dervaig.
With one member of the group 8 months' pregnant we were restricted to doing a lot of our birdspotting from the garden. Nevertheless we enjoyed daily visits from the local buzzards (the tourists' eagle) and the otter in the loch below (early afternoon a good time to see him). Thankyou!

Absolutely fantastic location. Amazing views from the living room and master bedroom, we saw deer, otters and seals from the comfort of the sofa!
The walk to Quinish point is well worth doing, just turn left out of the drive and keep going.
Dervaig is a great spot from which to explore the top half of the island.
We try and stay in a different location each time we visit Mull, this was our sixth time, but we would be very happy to stay here again, hopefully in less ‘locked down” times.

A beautiful, well appointed cottage in a delightfully remote location (yet close enough to a shop should you need it!). Newly renovated with all the mod cons you’ll need, the cottage is nicely centralised to explore Mull. The owners provided maps and walking guides of the area, and books, dvds and board games for if you’re relaxing indoors.
If you love wildlife, you’ll never leave the windows when you’re in the cottage, and the lack of light pollution in the area means you’ll be star gazing all night!
An excellent holiday let, so glad we found it.
