Things to Do
A short five minute walk from the cottage there are a number of sandy beaches at the head of Lochbuie as well as the large sweeping bay of Laggan Sands a little further along. A good coastal path leads along the shore passing through some stunning coastal scenery and woodland before arriving at the old farm buildings at Glenbyre from where a smaller path continues onwards to Carsaig. This is a beautiful and rugged stretch of coast and a good place to see the wild goats.
Those feeling energetic can tackle the mountain peak of Ben Buie a great walk with stunning views over Lochbuie (please note caution and experience required). The 15th century Moy castle is located mid way along the bay of Lochbuie and is a three story stone built tower.
Croggan is a short drive away and is also a great area to see otters, enjoy walks along the coast and visit the sandy beach at Portfield.
