Things to Do

Take a wildlife tour with a local guide; go as a foot passenger to Iona and explore the Abbey and beaches. Staffa and the Treshnish islands are well worth a visit too, and you can look for marine life on the way to landing on one of these outlying islands. You can visit Ardanlanish Weavers to purchase some of their beautiful products made from their tweed, or take a trip to the Ross of Mull historical centre (in Bunessan) to find more about the history of the area.

There are a great selection of beaches in this area to explore - some where you can park right beside them and others which require a little more effort. There are some fantastic walks along the coastline, with a particularly impressive section of coast at Carsaig (just south of Pennyghael). Best to bring a pair of binoculars as there are a great variety of birds of prey around, including golden and white tailed eagles to spot; as well as the otters, red deer and the occasional passing porpoise.
