Things to Do
The beauty of Drumbuie View is that has a really great location for accessing both the west coast of the island, with its stunning mountainous backdrop and wildlife spotting opportunities, and the north of Mull, where guests can make the most of the cafés, restaurants and facilities the island capital provides. It's less than half an hour to get to Craignure in the south where there the Isle of Mull hotel has a swimming pool and spa that is open to non-residents. And just a little further on from Craignure is Duart Castle - an impressive building perched on the edge of the coastline with tours and a tearoom and available to visitors.
For wildlife enthusiasts, there are boat trips departing from Ulva Ferry on the west coast to Staffa and the Treshnish islands. There is plenty to explore in the immediate surrounds of the cottage, with the coast accessible from the door. Take a pair of binoculars and see what you can spot on the way down to the shoreline, keeping quiet in case there are otters around.
