Wood Cottage has a beautiful and unique setting, offering the ultimate in peace and quiet - privacy and sea views, yet within walking distance of Tobermory (1 mile away via the coastal track).

Wood Cottage comfortably sleeps four and is a pet friendly property, situated within the grounds of Aros Park, a real beauty spot with a superb selection of excellent walking trails, managed by the forestry commission, taking in waterfalls, coastal vistas and pockets of deciduous woodland. There is a circular loch walk too, with picnic benches and play areas to keep little ones entertained. A coastal path links directly to Tobermory, a perfect way to visit this pretty harbour town with its selection of shops; cafes and restaurants.

The cottage is approached via a private drive through woodland and you arrive at a large clearing with Wood Cottage nestled into the landscape. There is plenty of space here for a couple of cars and guests will want to explore the large wild garden, with pond and expansive views toward Loch Sunart and the rocky hills of Ardnamurchan. Please note the cottage does not have an enclosed garden and there is a stream running through the garden too, so dogs and children cannot be left unattended.

Entering this lovely, detached self-catering home, you can kick off your walking boots and hang up coats in the porch area. A hall leads from here to the other rooms in this single storey property. A ‘sun room’ to your right is a lovely bright space, filled with natural light and ideal for enjoying the sea views, with an electric flame effect stove keeping it cosy and warm on cooler days. The double doors can be opened up which lead out to the garden area.

There is a good sized dining room at Wood Cottage with a great view from the table - a great place to have breakfast and plan the day's events. The smart galley kitchen adjoins the dining room and is very well equipped for self-catering with quality appliances and a great range of cookware. Another external door leads from the kitchen via another porch to the rear garden area too. A barbecue, outdoor seating and secure storage for bikes are all provided for guests.

The living room is a welcoming room with timber lined walls. The multi-fuel stove adds a cosy glow and the neutral colours and decor throughout the property, coupled with some nice pieces of artwork, solid furniture and quality furnishings give the whole house a comfortable, relaxing feel. There are some home entertainments here too with a large HD television; DVD player; books and games. There is also another door to the garden from this room via a third porch, another handy storage space.

Both bedrooms are accessed from the living room. The double bedroom is a beautiful room with a high ceiling and king sized bed. High quality bedding and lined curtains ensure a great night's sleep; and there is lots of storage space for belongings. The twin bedroom is another lovely room, again, with comfortable bedding and great finishing touches.

Wood Cottage is a real little gem of a place to stay; lots of care and attention has gone into making this a lovely home from home and the tranquil setting and views make this a really great place to stay for a holiday on the island.
