Witch’s Cottage is located on the hillside above the quiet single track road that leads to the old stone pier beside the sea at Croig. This is a fantastic location for exploring Mull’s north coast. The village of Dervaig, with its well-stocked shop and inn is 10 minutes east by car, and the sandy expanse of Calgary beach lies five minutes to the west.
This great self-catering cottage sleeps four people and sits within a spacious hill garden. There is outdoor seating and great views over the surrounding landscape with a mix of birch woods and rocky outcrops. The range of habitats in the area mean that there is plenty of wildlife here, including otters, red deer and a variety of birds, including eagles.
Entering the cottage there is a characterful kitchen with a cosy dining area to seat four people. An open doorway leads through to the living area, which has comfortable seating, local artwork and great views from the large window. Cosy rugs will warm your toes while showcasing the stunning wooden floors. A selection of board games and books are provided, along with wireless internet access, television and a DVD player for evenings spent at the cottage.
The other rooms all come off the main hallway, which has front door access to the garden too. There are two spacious, well-appointed bathrooms, one with a bath (with shower over), basin and toilet, and the other with a bath, basin and toilet.
The double bedroom is a large room and has good views from the window along with plenty of storage for belongings. The room is beautifully presented and the bedding is high quality - very welcoming for weary limbs after a day out walking!
The twin bedroom has views to the hill behind the cottage and again quality bedding and furnishings are provided to ensure a good night's sleep.
Witch’s Cottage is a great choice for those seeking a private and quiet location in beautiful surroundings. There are excellent walks direct from the cottage, including a number of fine sandy bays along the coast of Loch Cuin within 15 minutes’ walk. An access track can also be followed out to an excellent sandy beach at Port na Ba.
Also within walking distance is the excellent restaurant Am Birlinn, which serves lunches and evening meals, is licensed and specialises in local seafood and produce. With sandy beaches, wonderful wildlife and an excellent restaurant all within a stone’s throw, what more could you need for a memorable holiday on Mull?

Heating: Electric storage heating in kitchen, living room and hallway; electric convector heaters in the bedrooms; heated towel rail in each bathroom.
