Tigh na Sealgair (the Hunter’s House) is a beautifully appointed holiday cottage in the Isle of Mull’s south east at Lochdon; a picturesque setting with stunning views over the water to the mountains of Mull.

This spacious self-catering property sleeps up to four guests, with a high standard of finish throughout. Pets are welcome and there is a lovely enclosed garden with outdoor dining area; all just a stone's throw from the waters of the loch.

Entering the property there is a porch with space for belongings, coats and shoes. A large hallway leads through to the other rooms. The living room is set to the front of the house and a large window perfectly frames the wonderful view of the water and mountains beyond. Comfortable seating is provided and a flame effect electric fire adds a cosy glow too.

The kitchen dining room is a large and very well equipped space. The sleek, modern kitchen with good quality cookware and built in appliances, makes meal preparation a breeze. And the dining table provides ample space for four guests. Double doors can be opened to the sun room, which is set to the rear of the cottage, giving a private space to enjoy a book or watch the garden birds from.

The double bedroom is another well appointed room with a king-sized bed, lots of storage space, a dressing table and an en-suite bathroom with shower unit, basin and w.c. There are views to the rear of the garden.

The twin bedroom is located to the front of the house and has lovely sea views. Quality bed linen and comfortable mattresses are provided as standard. A family bathroom accessed from the main hall has a bath, basin and w.c.

There is also an office room at Tigh na Sealgair which enjoys wonderful sea views. This useful space is equipped with a desk and office chair to make it an ideal space to catch up with emails, sort your photographs or plan your next day’s island adventures!

The garden is beautifully kept and south facing. It captures lots of sun during the day, and the elevated position give exceptional views. A gravelled area provides the ideal space for outdoor dining or enjoying a drink.

Tigh na Sealgair is a fantastic choice for a holiday on the Isle of Mull and the cottage is ideally positioned to see the area's abundant wildlife too. Birdwatchers will be in their element as golden and white-tailed sea eagles, kestrel, sparrowhawks and hen harriers all seen in the area. The loch provides a valuable source of food for many divers and waders and is occupied by a variety of birds at all times of the year.

Craignure is the closest village at 10 minutes away and has a village shop, café, Inn, and the island’s swimming pool and spa. Duart Castle is also a short distance away an ideal place to get a taste of Mull’s history, and enjoy delicious food in the tearoom.

Lochbuie and Croggan can be explored 30 minutes by car and offer great walking and beaches. Tobermory Mull’s main town is 45 minutes away with its excellent shopping and dining opportunities. Fionnphort (where you get the boat to Iona) is just under an hour away and is also a good jumping off point for boat trips to Staffa and the Treshnish Isles.

There is a washing machine and dryer in the property too. Dining table and chairs for four. Double doors lead from the kitchen through to the sun room - a great additional seating area with comfortable sofas.

Bedrooms: The double bedroom has a king-sized double bed and the twin room has two single beds. Hair dryer provided.

Bathroom: Family bathroom with bath, basin and w.c. En-suite shower room for the double bedroom has a shower unit, basin and w.c.

Garden: The garden is fully enclosed with a large front lawn and an area with picnic bench and table on composite decking. There is a paved area outside the conservatory at the back door of the house and a large area of meadow grass to the rear of the house.

Heating: Oil fired central heating.

Bed Linen and Towels: Bed linen and towels are provided for guests.
