Wow, what a brilliant place to stay. Just what we needed. It was really comfortable with everything we needed. We loved the big window. It was wonderful to have breakfast watching the wild life. The walks to the beaches and Bunasen were a delight. We also visited Iona, Tobermorey and did a stunning boat trip to Staffa. We loved the the feeling of remoteness and peace.

Our second stay at the Pod was excellent. Everything required was supplied and property was clean on arrival. Fantastic view from big window, brief glimpse of a male hen harrier and regular red deer. We couldn't get TV to work but the view from the Pod was much more interesting. Booked again for May 2025. Shame about the bumpy road but the journey is worth it, just drive slowly. Many thanks. Neil and Carol.

Had a lovely week's stay in the Pod. Surrounding landscape is stunning, and is only a short walk to two beautiful beaches. Iona is also very close, and definitely worth a visit. Accommodation itself is excellent, more than big enough for two.
We stayed without a car which is definitely doable. Is about an hour and 20 minutes walk to the nearest village which has a bus stop, Spar and a pub.
Would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed the isolation of POD and the nearby beaches were absolutely stunning. We did a few hikes into the hills and along the coast from the POD. Lots of wildlife seen around POD and the view from the picture window is lovely, especially over to The Dutchmans Cap at sunset.
The POD is well equipped and large enough for 2 peop for a week or so. Be aware there is only a curtain seperating the bathroom/loo from the rest of the POD so if privacy is important to you, you may wish to reconsider.
There was plety of equipment and basics such as salt and pepper and washing up liquid.

I’m not sure I have enough superlatives in my vocabulary to describe our delightful stay at The Pod (June 2024). The accommodation itself is small but for us, it was absolutely perfect. Everything we could possibly need was provided and it was warm and very clean. To get to The Pod you do have to drive a 2 miles torturous route along a farm track - but I promise it is worth the effort. For once there, you immediately realise what a beautifully isolated location it is. From the large window overlooking the valley, you could see the north coast and the Treshnish Isles in the distance.

Exactly what I wanted for a week of walking and geology. Comfortable, and very well equpped. The washing machine and tumble dryer were really appreciated as the weather meant that clothing got very wet and muddy. I enjoyed long days, simple food and excellent accomodation. I will return.

Lots of positives - lovely location, reasonably well equipped accommodation, welcome prosecco and biscuits a nice touch. Unfortunately for me there were some negatives - the rough track was not great and not something I would like to do in the dark, you can't walk up the sides of the bed you have to shuffle sideways (not good with any mobility issues), and I would much prefer a proper cooker rather than a huge fridge and separate freezer. Also the combi oven was very dirty and some other areas were not as clean as I would have liked.

Editor's Note: Note from the owners: a new oven has since been installed at the Pod.
Would have been 5 Stars except the washing machine didn't work. The Pod is in a great position and very well equipped. On arrival had a male Hen Harrier and a White tailed eagle fly past the window. Red deer on the hills every day and the sheep and lambs regularly ate the lawn. Very peaceful and the night sky was superb, watch for the bats.

Editor's Note: Note from the owner: Thank you for your feedback, a new washing machine has been ordered.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Pod. The remote location along a rough gravel track was perfect. We particularly enjoyed the abundance of nature right on our doorstep, we slept with the window open to be woken by the Dawn chorus. The nearby Kilvickeon beach was wonderful and much easier to get to than Scoor. The Pod itself had everything we needed including a big fridge which was useful as we bought a weeks worth of groceries. Super comfy bed and for us the highlight was the huge picture window, we enjoyed views of Hen Harrier, deer and Stonechat, also distant sea views. ,

The Pod is extremely well equipped and thought out, genuinely everything you might need for your stay. Lots of info/instructions make everything very easy to use.
Unbelieveably peaceful location, nothing but birdsong and sheep, and the occasional tractor. And though it's right next to Ploughman's Cottage you don't feel overlooked. Also considering its isolated location I felt very safe as a solo traveller.

Absolutely spot on, I loved the large window overlooking the surroundings
. The housekeeping is faultless. The road has had its holes filled. The locals are friendly and helpful. It's the bees knees.

What an amazing location! Exciting birds and deer just out of the window, plus the very cute lambs. Very comfortable space, had everything necessary
You need to take the track slowly - never mind the bumps, you don't want to miss exciting birds and chat to the sheep on your way! I'd love to come back

We absolutely loved staying in this gorgeous pod. Small but perfectly formed, it had everything we needed and more. It was well equipped for cooking, washer came in useful after muddy walks and the surroundings were idyllic. The track is a tricky gravel path and the only slight downside, but our little polo made it so any other car should do too! The coastline around is stunning and we just loved the location as big wildlife/bird fans! We would definitely stay again, thank you!

Well equipped, warm and comfortable property. There is plenty of storage packed into a small place but it is a bit tight to move around the bed and into the shower room! The large window looks north, perfect for seeing the northern lights. Local beach is beautiful and deserted, only 10 minutes walk away.
The track is rough but fine if you take it slowly. Lots to do in the area.

Fantastic, the pod has everything you need and very comfortable. I think the best beaches on mull are both within walking distance. We watched whales and baskin sharks one morning as we ate breakfast watching a golden eagle , we booked the pod again for next year.

The Pod is a perfect base for exploring the island and its incredible beauty. On arrival at The Pod we were greeted with a sheep + her lamb on our driveway. So sweet to watch. They were there most days. From the large window in the living room we looked out to beautiful views and quite often saw about 20+ Red Deer up on the hill.
The Pod itself is absolutely gorgeous. So well designed with lots of extra touches. Shower was always hot, bed soft but really comfy. Added bonus of a washing machine + a dryer. Wine, choccies + biscuits to welcome us too! Rough track not a problem. Wifi brill.

Nice and out of the way, if you want peace and quiet then this is the place albeit all of Mull is peaceful, can't wait to get back in October for 3 weeks, only thing I wasn't keen on was the bed was extremely soft, otherwise really enjoyed my stay ????

Highly recommended, great value for money comparitive to other holidaying method. Road is a bit rocky on arrival but managed it on a fiat 500 without to much issue. Cottage is dreamy, bed is comfortable and the beaches close to it are stunning. View from the living room is to die for. Would recommend for a cute, cosy and intimate couples getaway or for a solo traveler looking for an idyllic peaceful location. Furnishings is amazing and the shower is also top notch.

The Pod is a fantastic choice of stay. It is so well designed and nicely furnished. There is so much storage and many thoughtful, extra touches.
Everything you could possibly want in a home away from home is provided. The WiFi signal was superb.
The Pod is located in the most glorious setting. It is so peaceful. The main window in the living area provides the most amazing view.
There are some truly spectacular beaches within a short walk of this property and the wildlife abundant.
I absolutely loved my stay here and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it as a great place to choose.

The Pod is delightful - beautifully furnished with small touches such as a vase for flowers, pens and glue! The wifi is amazing for such an isolated spot and we were able to watch television without a problem. Not that we did this much - the scenery and wildlife is too amazing to be inside for long.

Fantastic space- you can tell this has been lived in at some point as the storage is really well thought out. Swallowed the two of us and our ten month old baby with all the associated paraphernalia, no problems. Lively framed view out to the Dutchman's Cap from the living space. By the time we're back in that neck of the woods we'll have outgrown this space, but we'd recommend it to anyone that wants a wee bolthole to relax in and plan adventures from!

Fantastic Cottage! I had an amazing week in a very secluded cottage. Amazing location for exploring mull and Iona. Cottage was amazing. Can’t rate it high enough. Will be back again soon!!

A fantastic cosy place for two. Great walks to the lovely beaches to see Eagles and dolphins. Watching the deer out of the panoramic window. Cuckoo's abound. Easy drive to Fionnphort for the ferry to Iona and Staffa. Just a perfect place to relax and unwind ????
