Had a fantastic week in this perfect cottage. We loved everything about the Little Theatre , it’s the most wonderful place to relax and slow down, just appreciating the incredible scenery. We loved watching the birds and a hedgie hog from the conservatory, and the wood burner made the whole place so cosy. Thank you to Sally and Graham for being such lovely hosts, we will be back .

Thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay in a cleverly designed cottage during especially kind autumn weather with just a short flurry of drizzle. The view from the conservatory is lovely and walks from the lodge were enjoyable with plenty of visible wildlife. Our host was helpful and jolly without being obtrusive. Beyond Dervaig we found much beautiful scenery on a special island - Calgary Bay particularly and Iona despite the inevitable long drive. Saw Sea and Golden eagles and many deer.

Such a sensitive conversion of an iconic building … what’s more it was really comfortable, with every convenience provided. We had a wonderful, albeit very wet & very windy, stay. The Old Little Theatre was a cosy retreat from the weather with stunning views.

Absolutely stunning property - converted with such skill and artistry. Exceeds the description - perfect in every way and very welcoming hosts. Lovely welcome pack too!
A fantastic week here with so many lovely walks nearby: Calgary, Croig, Quinish Point. Super artisan bakery and good little supermarket in Dervaig. Excellent area for bird watching too.

Really relaxing week in this beautiful property. Stunning location. Lovely welcome. Very well equipped from the bird feeders to the coffee machine! We loved the wood burner in the evenings.
The only thing we’d change is the very soft mattress.
Many of the local restaurants were closed for the winter at the end of October, but we enjoyed an excellent meal in the Galleon Bistro in Tobermoray.

This is a wonderfully comfortable cottage to come back to after a busy day exploring the beautiful Isle of Mull. The standard of furniture and fittings is very high, the place was spotlessly clean and the owner, Sally, made us feel very welcome on arrival. One clear night we sat out and looked at the stars, we had a view of the Milky Way, it was truly amazing. We'll be back soon.

The Old Little Theatre was nothing short of superb! The attention to detail was stunning and high quality, whilst having such warmth. The cottage was very well equipped, with everything and more on hand. The history of the cottage was evident and charming. The views were wonderful and so relaxing. The welcome gifts were very much appreciated. I honestly don't think anyone would not love staying here, and dervaig itself is a very welcoming place to stay.

The view from both conservatory and bedroom will stay in our minds with rabbits and hedgehogs passing through the garden adding to the stunning setting. The cottage itself is so stylish but still cosy and welcoming with top quality functional items. The location on the edge of a beautiful village takes you back in time, with welcoming locals and wandering sheep. The superbly stocked local store and the nearby restaurants worthy of more than one visit. Sally made us feel more than welcome but never intrusive. Many great walks straight from the door ...

An exceptional place to stay, we could not fault anything with this property. Absolutely 5*'s!!! The décor is superb, the views are fantastic, everything you could need for self catering accommodation.
Perfect location to explore the island, or to just relax, unwind and enjoy the views from the property and Dervaig.

This was our second visit to the old little theatre. It’s a wonderful quirky property with a design flourish. A perfect setting.
The only thing we would change is the bed. It’s terribly soft and with the number of visitors who must stay on it across the year it desperately needs changing.

We had a wonderful week staying in this delightful cottage. Spacious, quirky and very comfortable. Stunning views. Great location for exploring the north of Mull. Can do as much or as little as you wish. So relaxing and mixed weather not a problem. Worth trying to catch Piece ( limited opening) as cake is sublime..Little Bespoke bakery at Salen also worth a visit.

Booked this for a winter break. It is nicely decorated, cosy, and comfortable. I went with prepared home cooked meals as we were out of season. So I was disappointed with the kitchen area. All four of the cooker rings were overheating, various items of crockery were chipped, the Teflon frying pan coating was damaged which made it unusable and although there was a microwave no dishes were supplied to be used in the microwave. I tried to source my own dishes while there and was told I would need to go off Island. The owner confirmed this. For these reasons I would not use this property again

Beautiful, luxurious cottage with quality finish and artistic decorations. Weather was mixed, wet & windy at times, so the comfort and beauty of the place was appreciated. Fabulous view - we even saw hen harriers hunting out across the reeds from our bedroom and the little conservatory room. Ewen who lives nearby took us out on a fantastic wildlife tour and despite difficult weather we saw eagles, hen harriers and an otter- well worth it if you love wildlife.

The Old Little Theatre is a lovely holiday home. It is beautifully designed to make the most of the theatre connection whilst creating a really comfy and stylish home. The views from the bedroom and the terrace are wonderful and the location, in the village of Dervaig means you have easy access to the lovely pub The Bellachroy and the Piece Box which sold the most scrumptious seafood sandwiches. I would have liked more cooking utensils and bowls and things, but that might not worry everyone as there are great places nearby to eat out. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Booked this for a Covid-induced staycation. It is stylishly decorated, cosy, and comfortable. Inclement weather meant we spent more time "in" than anticipated & we were grateful for the logburner. The bedroom cries out for a super king bed, and there was no hoover or cleaning equipment to clear up inevitable bits of mess as the week progressed. The kitchen's equipment was fairly basic in terms of utensils. The bathroom floor was also full of other people's hair... And things like loo roll, matches, bin bags were all stingily rationed.
But the views, peace, and décor all made it a good stay.

An easy 5 star rating from us as well. Fabulous accommodation which has been tastefully fashioned from a previous life as a theatre. The vista and the picturesque village of Dervaig was all it was made out to be. Probably the best "holiday cottage" we have stayed in. We'll be back!

A unique property quietly situated on its own with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Sally and Graham are both welcoming and discreet and have created a tasteful and artistic property in keeping with its former life as a theatre complete with some of the former theatrical props and posters. There is plenty of storage for personal belongings and the added bonus of a conservatory sunroom and outside seating. A characterful hidden gem!

Beautiful views too - including of the Milky Way. Even saw a shooting star on the first night.
Great location for exploring Mull and near to the lovely Calgary Beach. Local pub is worth a few visits too - good food and wide range of whisky.
    Would love to visit again.

There aren't many places you stay where the photos actually match the place you've booked but, this was one of them. We were met by the lovely owner to ask us if we needed help with anything then left us undisturbed. As for the accommodation itself, we were very pleased. Unusual, quirky but a wonderfully peaceful place to be. The view from the bedroom when you wake up is superb and the bed very comfortable. The living area, kitchen and bathroom were excellent and the walls throughout displayed wonderful artwork by the two owners. We love Mull and now we love the old little theatre.

We had a fantastic long weekend in this beautifully designed cottage, the interior as stunning as the views of the landscape outside. We slept well in the comfortable bed and enjoyed the log stove in the evenings. We were lucky with sunny weather and enjoyed exploring Mull, particularly taking the ferry to Iona and exploring sandy beaches dotted around the island. Hoping to return to this beautiful cottage and Mull.

Regular visitors to Mull so came equipped for all weathers - we had sun, wind, rain, snow, sleet so the wood burning stove was a bonus and so easy to use - keeping us snug and warm. Cottage is well equipped and comfortable, waking up to that view each morning was just perfection. Would definitely recommend The Old Little Theatre and hope to return soon.

Wow! What a gem! The Old Little Theatre has been beautifully converted with great attention to detail and really put the icing on the cake for our holiday on Mull. It's wonderful that Sally and Graham have preserved the feel of the theatre which could so easily have been lost to a more conventional conversion. The view from the bedroom and the immensely comfy bed made it even more difficult to drag ourselves from our holiday lay-ins but then the wonderful glow of the woodburner in the evenings made us equally reluctant to return to it. The Theatre is well equipped and has a luxurious feel to all of its amenities. A week was just not enough to see all that Mull had to offer so we hope to be back to the Theatre again next year as surely there cannot be anywhere else to beat it?

We have been on holiday on Mull several times and stayed in some great self-catering accommodation and this is up there with the best. The attention to detail of The Old Little Theatre is exceptional, clean, cosy and with some lovely touches like the under floor heating in the bathroom and kitchen. The wood burning stove is perfect for those colder spring nights and the décor is stunning with little nods to what the building once was, brilliant!
