We had the most amazing week at Shore Croft! It’s a beautiful cottage that is wonderfully decorated with all the mod cons. The location is perfect and the views are stunning. Graham was lovely and was available if we had any questions. I can’t wait to visit again.

The information was found lacking in the cottage Charlotte and Jerry 2 weeks before us wrote we were a bit baffled by the hot water and the t v and radio defeated us non technological people.The following week the comment was hot water for a bath was difficult. We felt the same when we spoke to one of the. Owners who insisted there was info in the folder there was NoT. Why does the booking info just say there is no terrestrial T V signal or the cottage info state this it would save a. Lot of confusion.

We pride ourselves on doing everything we can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. With this in mind, we always put out an information pack with a welcome note to allow guests to familiarise themselves with the ins and outs of the property and its features. The pack also provides information on the heating system, various appliances throughout the cottage, how to connect to the Wi-Fi and other topics relevant to our guests’ stay, for example, fire safety. We will be taking your feedback into account and will update the information provided to make it even clearer for future guests, including the handwritten notes you kindly added to the pack yourself. Hot water is provided via a clearly labelled emersion heater switch in the kitchen. We’re sorry that we couldn’t help you with the hot water, as we weren’t made aware that you had an issue with it. However, we were pleased that we were able to arrange for a locksmith to have a look at the bedroom door at the earliest possible opportunity during your stay after you raised a potential issue with it. What makes Shore Croft and Uisken so special is the remote location of the cottage, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. This is the reason our parents chose this particular place for our family holidays. With this comes its own set of challenges, such as lack of terrestrial TV and radio signals. However, we do offer TV via our 4G router. We have been trying our best to communicate this and set expectations but will improve the wording in all the communications to make this clearer to understand.
Absolutely loved shorecroft. Views were amazing, place was spotless, radiators kept us warm. So peaceful. Appreciated the amount of kitchen equipment so could properly self cater. Bed so comfortable. Highly recommended.

Had a fantastic week, the cottage was well equipped, very clean, very well presented and really comfortable, certainly one of the best cottages we have stayed in on Mull. The location is stunning and very peaceful. As mentioned in a previous review a small rotary washing line would be a good addition, especially for hanging wetsuits etc outside (instead of hanging on the gate!) Thank you for sharing your cottage and we look forward to coming back next year.

Really enjoyed our stay in this little peaceful property. We have stayed many places on Mull but this one is our favourite. Beautiful views even if the weather is not good. An open fire would be a nice addition especially on chillier days. However the radiators are efficient and effective. A washing line outside would also be a great addition! However we would love to come back.

A drying horse is available for guests to use, which is stored behind the bathroom door. However, we’ll give more thought to installing a small washing line in the back garden for our guests to use. Regretfully though, due to insurance and licensing restrictions, we are unable to provide an open fire place in the cottage
We had the perfect holiday in this beautiful croft and found it comfortable, spotless and very functional. The situation and aspect is one of the best on the island. The beach was busy at times, but never intrusively so. It is the perfect base for exploring the Ross.

Shore Croft is a very well appointed cottage in a stunning location overlooking beautiful Uisken Beach. It’s a great base for exploring the Ross of Mull and there are maps and excellent guidebooks in the cottage with which to find the many great local walks. We could not recommend this cottage more highly.

Cosy, well equipped cottage in a stunning location. Everything you could need in the kitchen (little space for your own food though). Heating worked great! Spotless through out. Lots of thoughtful touches.
View from windows is incredible. Lots of amazing walks on Ross. Saw. Golden and sea eagles, and hen harriers. Iona ferry 10 minutes away.By Sarah Terry stayed in April 2023

In addition, we have also added a spacious revolving shelf in the corner cupboard for additional ease of food storage in the kitchen.
Cosy cottage (spent 2 days battered by storms) well equipped, excellent location with outstanding views of Colonsay and Jura and amazing sunrises. Wildlife amazing; nearly fell over an otter sheltering from storm just off the beach, and one or two sightings of white tailed and golden eagles.

Sweet Cottage in a lovely situation. Needs an open fire though. However, we enjoyed our week and the gorgeous views. We stayed local and explored beaches around and Iona.
