We had the most relaxing and comfortable stay at this beautiful cottage. The view from every window was stunning. The village of Dervaig is a short walk down the lane where we found the Loch, a charming church, well stocked village shop and bakery and pub. We were lucky enough to see buzzards, red deer and other wildlife from the decking at the back of the cottage. The peace and quiet did us both the world of good. Lynne and John were friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had the best holiday and would definitely recommend this gem.

A fabulous week in a fabulous place. Heather Brae is a lovely cottage with stunning views from its elevated position. The cottage is comfortably furnished and well equipped - our family lived walking in to the village or relaxing on the decking.

Heather Brae is exceptional in every way. Property is spacious and has amazing views from the lounge dining kitchen area and all the bedrooms and even the bathroom have a view
Cottage is within walking distance of village of Dervaig which has a great village shop pub and sandwich snack bar. Would recommend booking to eat at the exceptional Ard Bord for dinner one evening which is a 20 min walk from the cottage up hill.
Lovely walks in the area the Quinish estate to Quinish point, Langamull beach Calgary bay and enjoyed a full days walk with Nature Scotland wildlife tours

Heather Brae is a lovely, comfortable cottage in a brilliant location with outstanding views. You can easily get to wherever you want to on the island, although the trip to Iona is rather long. Dervaig has a great shop - really all you could need and a seafood cafe which must not be missed. On the other side of Dervaig from the cottage is Ar Bord - a husband and wife restaurant in their own home - so good we had to go twice during our stay.
It's a perfect retreat and I would highly recommend

We have wanted to visit the north of Mull and Heather Brae was the perfect house to do it from. Being keen walkers there were plenty to keep us active, great weather helped, with all the comfort to rest on our return. Loved the huge windows allowing us to see the amazing view, especially at breakfast when we planned our day, lounge area with the wood burner and bedrooms which were extremely comfortable and so peaceful. Very well equipped.

Our comment put in three words: Heaven on Earth!
Thank you Lynne and John for this little paradise on Earth. We loved everything: the location, the very well equipped kitchen, the cosy living room, the wood-burning stove, the bedroom-area. Lynne and John were there for us whenever needed and Lynne even went out of her way and baked a loaf of bread for us when we arrived. We will definitely be back. Also a big thanks to everybody at Isle of Mull Cottages for providing an immaculate service.

This property was really perfect for us, being quiet, very comfortable and a perfect location with spectacular views. The beds were comfy, house was warm and the owners communicated very well with us from the outset. Would definitely book this again!

This is such a lovely property with lots of space and comfort. The views from it's position above Dervaig are fantastic, and it would not be an exaggeration to say that it would be perfectly possible to just sit and drink in the views all day. Lynee and John are very welcoming and very willing to help if needed.
Calgary Bay - just a few miles away - is stunningly beautiful and the cafe and art centre there are brilliant. We ate at Ar Bord (brilliant!), Croft 3 (7 miles across the hills to Fanmore (also brilliant and with views to die for from your dining table), Am Birlinn and The Bellachroy.

A delightful modern cottage with beautiful views set on a hillside overlooking Aghantume Burn. The lovely owners Lynne and John are on site to help if needed. The village centre is within walking distance and has a good general store to pick up provisions. The village pub is friendly and the food there is nice. We especially enjoyed our meal at Ar Bòrd (book well in advance) and wished we’d been able to go again but they were fully booked.

This was our second visit to Heather Brae and we loved it again. The cottage is so well laid out, has everything a family of 5 needs. The weather this time wasn’t the best but we made the most of it. The wood burning stove was a total winner and the mattresses were the best.
The trip to Ulva and fantastic cafe was a highlight. Am Birlinn was an amazing place to eat too.
We would definitely recommend Heather Brae and will be back.
Keep up the great work. Many thanks

Fantastic cottage - beautifully furnished, well equipped and the most stunning view. Excellently situated for exploring the spectacular scenery of Mull. Easy stroll to local village with shop and pub serving great food. Can highly recommend this cottage- wonderful to come back to at the end of the day and relax watching the sun setting over the loch.

We had a wonderful week at Heather Brae as a family of 5(3 children aged 6, 5 and 2).It was one of the best holiday houses we have stayed in and we’ve stayed in lots! Extremely comfortable(the best mattress ever),cosy and well equipped with everything we needed. The supply of wood for wood burner was a real bonus! The view was fantastic and outdoor space was great for the kids running around too. Thank you so much. We’d love to return.
