Corry House is a beautifully appointed, modern holiday home, set in a private location on the hills above Fishnish bay, on the Isle of Mull’s east coast.

A driveway winds up towards the house where there is a large parking area and an extensive garden to welcome you. It's easy to see on arrival that Corry House is designed to make the best of its location, with large windows framing the spectacular views over the sea and surrounding hills. Please note; a block of spruce forestry on the hill behind the property have since been felled.

An alcove entrance leads to a hall with plenty of storage and an adjoining utility room. From this hall you enter the main ground floor area; a spacious double height kitchen come dining space with a wall of windows looking over the rear patio and gardens, where a waterfall tumbles to a pool on one side. This fantastic space has got a real wow factor and is the hub of this family home.

The kitchen is of a very high specification with a gorgeous slate work surface; quality appliances and an excellent range of cookware. This makes it a pleasure to prepare a meal in, and the lighting can be adjusted to suit the mood while the table is set. The windows can be covered with blinds as required to create a cosy feel on darker evenings.

Set on the same ground floor level as the kitchen dining space is a small sitting area, ideal for coffee and a chat; playing games and planning the day's adventures. Younger children are well catered for with a good selection of toys and books and a television too. The large windows can be slid open to access the garden patio on sunny days. Also on this level are two bedrooms, one with twin beds and another with a queen sized double and single bed. Both bedrooms are well furnished. Located in the hall by the bedrooms is a bathroom with shower unit, hand basin. w.c. and bidet.

Stairs lead up to the main living room; a beautiful room with stunning sea views from the huge windows looking toward a panoramic view of the bay, with mainland Scotland beyond. Guests will enjoy the ever-changing visual display, depending on what mood the sea and weather present. Comfortable seating is provided and the range of games and books is excellent. A modern and efficient wood burner provides a great focal point, and double doors lead to a balcony so you can enjoy the sea breeze and views.

A second staircase descends from the kitchen dining area to the lower level where you find the master bedroom suite, a huge room with lovely views, abundant storage, sitting area, and double doors leading to its own patio area. A door leads to the large en-suite bathroom with a luxurious double-ended bath tub, basin, large shower unit, bidet and w.c.

At the top of the main staircase is a sitting area and office space leading via a corridor to another king sized double bedroom and bathroom with w.c. basin and bath with shower over. Again, the rooms feel luxurious and comfortable so that everyone staying in the property will feel at home.

Guests staying at Corry House will appreciate the warmth and light of this modern holiday house, and its central location, which make it an excellent base for exploring all areas of the island.

Salen is the closest village to Corry House with a well stocked shop, cafe and filling station. Tobermory, Mull’s main town, can be reached in under thirty minutes by car, and offers a great selection of restaurants, cafes and boutique shops. There is a museum, distillery and arts centre to visit and boats depart regularly from the harbour during the summer months, for trips out to other islands.

Property Overview

Living Room: Large comfortable sofas, television with freeview and satellite channels, ipod docking station and sonos speaker, radio, selection of books and board games and toy box for children. Wood burning stove.

Kitchen: Fully fitted kitchen with electric oven and induction hob; kettle; toaster; microwave; dishwasher; fridge freezer (three drawers in the freezer); cafetiere and some store cupboard basics (oil/salt/pepper). Good range of cooking and tableware including food processor and baking equipment. Combination washing machine/tumble dryer in the separate utility room.

Bedrooms: On the lower floor, the master bedroom has a king sized bed. There are two further bedrooms on the ground floor, one twin bedroom and another bedroom with a queen bed and and single bed. On the upper floor is a king sized double. Hair dryers provided.

Bathrooms: Two bedrooms on the ground floor have access to a shower room with a shower unit, basin and w.c, while the master bedroom on this level has its own en-suite with double-ended bath, large shower unit, basin and w.c. Upstairs the final double bedroom has a bathroom next to it with bath and shower over, basin and w.c. There are heated towel rails in every bathroom.

Garden: Large open space around the property which leads down to towards a fenced off field. At the rear there is a wooded area, and open burn, which has a drop (please note for younger guests). There is a large patio at the rear with steps and a smaller patio at the front. Outdoor table and chairs provided as well as a barbecue. The garden is not fully enclosed.

Heating: Underfloor heating throughout powered by a heat pump from ground source. There are also solar panels at Corry House and an air extractor system with controllers in the lounge so guests can adjust accordingly.

Wood Burning Stove: Wood stove with wood provided for guests to use at the property.

Bed Linen and Towels: Bed linen and towels are provided for guests.

More at this Property: Good wireless internet access, but poor mobile signal around the house. Travel cot and high chair on request (please bring your own bedding for the cot). Iron, ironing board and clothes rack. Utility room with washing machine, dryer and additional fridge.

Arrival and Departure: Arrival after 4.30pm. Departure by 9.30am.

Maximum Occupancy: The property sleeps a maximum of eight (adults and children). Please note the number of persons occupying the accommodation must not exceed the number stated here.
