A lovely, spacious and well equipped cottage. The local village of Dervaig is walkable in around 20 mins (great small supermarket, bakery and pub). The cottage is situated in a very peaceful spot and sitting out on a warm evening listening to the birds was wonderful. Ou can wander down to the edge of the loch by continuing along the track leading to the cottage, and if you’re lucky, catch sight of an otter!

Well equipped cottage, peaceful location, extremely clean and welcoming - the flowers, personal card and a bottle of wine were a very kind touch.
The kitchen is fabulously equipped, there is a patio area to sit out and plenty of parking. The loch is a 5 minute stroll away and Dervaig, with its well stocked shop and pub is a 20 minute walk. The cottage is well positioned for drives to Tobermory or Calgary, with places such as Ulva Ferry an hours drive away.

A lovely cottage in a peaceful and beautiful location, 2 minute walk from Loch Cuin.
Really well equipped with everything you could need during a holiday on Mull. We will be recommending!

Lovely cottage in a lovely location. It has been modernised very well and is very well appointed. It is about a 500 metres walk to the loch which is a great place to sit at low tide and look out for otters although we were not lucky enough to see one. Our weather was mixed which stopped us walking as much as we would have liked but Dervaig is a great place to stay and tour around. If you want to eat out it is not too easy so do your homework but can recommend the cafe at Calgary Art in Nature, also the art gallery and sculpture walk, but check the opening days/hours first. Can't wait to return

This is a lovely, airy, quiet cottage in a beautiful location.
As per other comments, the furnishings are a bit sterile and some things could do with updating or improving, but it is very comfortable. We had glorious weather and the cottage stayed lovely and cool.

Stayed here a few times. Love the location and the traditional exterior with modern interior. Lovely big open plan kitchen/dining area with lovely garden and wildlife all around. However, a recycling bin is badly needed as is new sitting room furniture. Not comfortable and no head/neck support.

Cottage was lovely and warm during February. Lounge and bedrooms were comfortable. Property was clean. Lots of parking and store for bikes. Good location for walks to the loch and into Dervaig for the pub.

This is a lovely minimalistic cottage. It is very comfortable with lots of good features such as underfloor heating & the main bedroom had a large built in wardrobe with lighting. Very modern kitchen with every appliance you could need, dishwasher, washing machine & dryer. Comfortable beds & good bathroom. Set in a lovely peaceful location with lots of parking. Highly recommend .

Loved the cottage, and the privacy. Beautiful surroundings . If I had a slightly negative comment it would be lack of cushions on the dining room chairs, not the most comfortable, and more rugs on the floor in the bedroom.Very pleased with huge pot to cook Langoustines in! Already booked for next year!

The cottage is situated in a beautifully private and quiet position. The kitchen is huge and the house fills with light throughout the day. There is no clutter in the house ; no cushions, books, maps or games. Quite a minimalistic look which works in this property. A little more attention to detail probably wouldn’t go amiss.

On arrival we were super pleased with the cottage lovely location and well designed . When we received the information from the Isle of Mull cottages it stated bottled water would be provided but we were unable to find any re not being able to drink from the taps.. also it stated a book shelf and visitors book all of which were not there which was a shame. Cafetière was only for one there was no soft furnishing on sofa we found an unwashed dishing up spoon in the utensil holder, fire and not been cleaned and re loaded and no kidding or matches little touches missed unfortunately.

We loved Burn Cottage. It is spacious, well equipped and in a peaceful location. If we come back to Mull we would definitely stay here again. Only criticism - no recycling bin!!

A beautiful cottage in a wonderful location. We agree however with comments made by the Mchlachlan's (Nov 2021) that the property is a bit sterile and could certainly do with cushions and chairs that have head & neck support. Books and games would be good too.

A modern and warm cottage in a great location. However, probably because of Covid all soft furnishings have been stripped away and as a result its a bit bare and sterile. The dining room chairs need their cushions and the armchairs and sofa are not that comfortable with no head or neck support, and again no cushions. There are also no books or games of any kind which you need if the the weather is poor. Are you really going to catch Covid from a game of Scrabble ?
The frying pan has a broken handle and the cafetiere is 1 person. As other reviewers have commented, there's no recycling provision

Fabulous location. The walk to the local pub in Dervaig was wonderful with views of the loch all the way. The cottage was very spacious and always warm and cosy. We had a few rainy days so didn’t get to sit in the garden. It was super quiet and peaceful. We hired bikes from Salen two days and there were some fantastic cycle routes.
The biscuits and wine on arrival on arrival was lovely thanks.
Previous comment re the need for a separate recycling bin would be helpful. Plus a larger doormat that fits under the door for when entering with wet boots.

We love this cottage and will definately be back. We were a little concerned before we got there about it not being in Tobermory, but that makes it better. The walk down to the pub has to be the best walk to the pub anywhere, it made our holiday. We were blessed with the weather.

Extremely comfortable cottage, well equipped and warm. We loved the peace here and being so close to the loch was wonderful - we strolled down many times to watch the wildlife doing their thing - it felt like our own loch! Please provide recycling bins for future guests. We would recommend this cottage.

Wonderful cottage. In a lovely, quiet setting with a short walk down to the loch. Very well appointed, spacious and clean. There's a pretty area to sit outside too. Perfect base for exploring beautiful Mull. Thank you

Really lovely and well equipped cottage that provided a comfortable and relaxing base for our family holiday on Mull. It has everything you need and is really well located for getting to Tobermory, beaches and wildlife spotting (Sea Eagle spotted behind the house). Burn Cottage was a great pick for our first time to Mull.

Well equipped & thoughtfully put together. The cottage really added to our holiday. We have visited Mull on many occasions & Burn Cottage has been the best find yet. A real home from home. Lots of walks & wildlife on the doorstep - literally. A perfect & cosy base we thoroughly enjoyed.

We loved it! Tastefully furnished and really cosy. Even though we stayed during a particularly cold week, with snow and hail, the cottage was really warm. Great location too; several good cycling routes can be done from the door.

Just returned after a weeks stay at the cottage. Lovely warm welcome with cheese and wine and snowdrops to greet us on arrival. The cottage has everything you could need and great wifi (15 yr old with us) will certainly book again.

I and my two sons had a great stay at Burn Cottage. It is spacious, warm (underfloor heated), has good wifi (essential for kids their age, obviously) and really well furnished. I imagine the walk to the pub in Dervaig will be a bit easier in the summertime. I'd definitely stay there again.
