Back home from another fabulous stay at Auchnacraig and am already missing that view. The most perfect lodge in a perfect position. I would recommend 100% if peace and quiet is what you are after. Massive thank you to Pat the housekeeper for sorting out the minor problem I had with the wifi and supplying the welcome cake and biscuits.
I have stayed in this lodge 7 or 8 times and would I stay there again, you bet I would. Already looking to book for next year.

We had the most amazing stay in this lodge with our three children. The views are incredible! The wildlife is incredible! To have fawns skipping about and frolicking with one another only metres from your window is amazing. Highland cows visited each day too. So relaxing. The kitchen is very well kitted out and we very much appreciated the small things like washing up liquid/soap/washing powder all provided too. Huge drying room for drying our stuff overnight. Can’t wait to return!

Everyone has said it all - Auchnacraig Lodge is very spacious, very comfortable and has the most amazing views we have ever had in a holiday house. To have a whole herd of red deer just within yards every morning and evening is unbelievable. And then there are the sunrises over the mountains and the sea...

First rate in every way. The property had everything we needed with the added bonus of stunning views over the Sound of Mull let alone the herd of deer in front of the Lodge. We highly recommend this property.

An absolutely amazing spacious house with superb views. A lovely rural location with sea views and with highland cows, deer, sheep, etc just over the fence, you could sit out on the veranda all day (or maybe on the great big window seat when the pesky rain comes!). The midges were minimal and the weather treated us pretty well, the rain tends to blow in and blow out again. We’ve been to other houses on Mull but this one topped them all - we’ll be back!

The lodge is very secluded and has fantastic views over the water and surroundings. Numerous wildlife sightings. It is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need and is very spacious. Loved our stay here and would love to go back. Mull is beautiful.

We have been going to the Isle of Mull now for fifteen years and stayed in numerous places and locations and can honestly say we've found our piece of heaven. The views from the lodge are fantastic, the lodge itself is so spacious and the wildlife there and nearby is fabulous, what more can I say.

The views and location of this lodge are superb. The lodge is spacious and comfortable and well provided. For the cost of this lodge we would have expected towels to be included. We didn't use the kettle as the inside was corroded and full of bits. We also thought that the bed was quite old and in need of upgrading. The laundry facilities were excellent, a nice feature also was the window seat where we spent the evenings watching the views and nature. The deer and local cattle especially, the highlanders, were also very
entertaining. Despite our comments we would return to the lodge.

The photos on the website don't do the lodge justice, it's so spacious inside. Incredible views in a prime location. The bay window overlooking the Sound of Mull was a favourite spot to watch the sunrise.

Our 4th trip to this wonderful lodge: 5 star in every way: spaciousness, privacy, amazing views of the Sound of Mull & the Nevis range, plus wildlife galore. We have seen over 60 bird species in this area including White-tailed Eagles, Golden Eagles, Hen Harriers & Short-eared Owls - plus Seals, Otters & Red Deer in abundance. Can't wait for our next visit.

Awesome view and setting. Comfortable and spacious. This was our seventh visit to Mull and we favour the Grasspoint / Lochdon area. If we are able to return Auchnacraig Lodge is our first, second and third choice to stay!

Absolutely lovely cottage. Clean, spacious, beautiful views and good position. Only complaint is that there was so much to see out of the windows, I couldn't concentrate on my book while my husband was out on his bike! :) Thank you to Pat for the provisions and advice. Simply perfect.

After so many disappointments during Covid 19 lockdown, visiting Mull again was a real joy and staying at the lodge was a real bonus .We were able to take our friend Carol who enjoyed her stay as much as we did .The wonderful views and wild life are exceptional

Lovely isolated lodge with the most amazing views from the windows that go all the way round. We were lucky enough to have highland cattle and their calves coming right up to the veranda. The red deer were a little more timid. Even saw rabbits and the odd hedgehog on the lawn.
Lodge was beautifully clean and so spacious. The housekeeper was lovely and very helpful.

Our 4th stay at this wonderful Lodge says it all really.
A truly wonderful location to stay if you love the wildlife and peace and quiet. The lodge is large with everything you need to make your stay comfortable.Tremendous panoramic views from the lounge diner and a lovely outside decking area.
We saw deer, hen harriers, sea eagles and the local highland cattle nearly every day from the lodge and otters feeding off grass point. highly recommend the following, Sea Life Survey Whale watching boat trips, Staffa boat trip with Staffa Tours and land based wildlife tours with Nature Scotland

It's like staying in a massive wildlife hide, with stunning panoramic views. Very clean and comfortable.
By Naomi Milton stayed in June 2019
Words are hard to describe what a great place this is. The views of Grasspoint and the surrounding area are stunning. It was so much fun to see the cattle roaming just outside the fence with the calves nursing. The deer walk in front of the lodge all the time. We saw so many different birds. The lodge itself is so comfortable and nice we can't imagine any of the other cottages better than this (but it's only our first time here). The proximity to Craignure, Duart Castle, Iona and Tobermory makes it a perfect vacation getaway. The caretakers are extremely nice and helpful. We just can't say too many great things about this place and will have the memories forever.

Wonderful location for spotting White Tailed and Golden Eagles, even from the lounge window! Fabulous to see up to 34 Red Deer in the pasture in front of the lodge. Such a lovely spacious and comfortable holiday home with outstanding views across to the mountains on the mainland. Apparently you can see 21 Munros on a clear day, I believe it! We absolutely loved it!

Our second stay at the same time of year and the Lodge was just as good. Very comfortable, fabulous views, a home from home. Very difficult to leave and go back to the comparative bustle of Somerset. Can't wait to go back.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this beautiful lodge and it will not be the last. We love it here, cannot put it into words how we feel. We came the same week last year and everything was just as we left it. Fantastic.
By Sue Bottomley stayed in April 2016
Excellent accommodation in a fantastic location. Several Sea Eagle fly pasts during my stay, along with a large variety of other wildlife close by. The view on a clear day is amazing, I was lucky with the weather so can't comment on the view on a wet day... My third time on Mull but definitely the best accommodation I've stayed in.
By STEVEN MANSELL stayed in September 2015
What a fabulous place to stay. I had 2 weeks here in July and loved every minute of it. The views are stunning with plenty of wildlife to keep the most ardent wildlife enthusiastic person happy. My binoculars were fixed to my eyes the whole time ! The lodge is well equipped with everything you should need. I would love to return.

The most fantastic comfortable wildlife hide we have ever stayed in! The facilities were excellent, especially the kitchen as we cooked in every night. We felt totally relaxed after our one week stay & will certainly be returning in the future.

Absolutly fantastic. Great location especially for the deer and buzzards. Lovely walks. Best accomodation ever stayed in. Unfortunately will not be able to stay again as I now have a dog and it does not except pets.

We have stayed here twice in the past two years, as a family of five: 2 adults and 3 children (11, 9 and 4). It is an outstanding setting and the accommodation is exceptional. An excellent base for touring Mull or just staying 'at home' in great comfort.
